If a batsman makes a jump to recover his crease and is airborne and lands a metre behind the crease, what is the sense in declaring him out though he may not have landed before the stumps were broken since he could not have reverse jumped in mid air.
i am sorry if the information is already given before. in the tri series b/w india, new zealand and zimbabwe held in zimbabwe this year, in the match on sep 4th b/w india and zimbabwe, zimbabwe has used only one of the 2 (5 overs) blocks of powerplay in the match. give your comment on this. did the management overlook this mistake?
Every one know very well what had happened on selection in Indian Cricket Team, I need not want to discuss what had happened in Selection. A kid can say its a party politics. But what i wat to put forth is Who selects this Selection committee and what basis. Not a single member of the Selection committee is a renowned person who had done something for indian cricket. they all are useless fellows.

No player has achieved that feat in test cricket yet. There are several instances of all rounders scoring a hundred and taking five wickets, but none has scored a double hundred and taken five wickets.

in the second test between srilanka and india sourav had made decent contributions of 40 and 39 how can you recognige a player with only one match I m not a great fan of sourav but this is not fare to a man who did a lot of things to indian cricket. he build our indian team and now he has no place in team very sad news for indian team :(
RE:why sourav dropped again?

With Sehwag coming back into the side, the selectors have no choice but to drop Ganguly. They couldnt have selected him in 14 and not play him in the final XI. In a way, Ganguly was spared the humiliation of being asked to carry drinks!

John Edrich scored most runs in boundaries in a test innings. He hit 5 sixes and 52 fours for a total of 238 runs in boundaries in his innings of 310* for England against New Zealand at Leeds in 1965.
The current record of scoring most runs in boundaries in a ODI match is held by Mahendra Singh Dhoni who belted 10 sixes and 15 fours in his unbeaten innings of 183 for India against Sri Lanka at Jaipur in 2005.
Sayeed Anwar holds the record of hitting most number of Fours (22) in his innings of 194 (still a world record) for Pakistan against India at Chennai in 1997.
