The New Zealanders played really well in both the matches to run the Aussies close and beat them finally. However, it needs to be pointed out that the ground dimensions in both Australia and New Zealand (esp in NZ) are ones which comply with the rule books. Most cricket grounds in NZ are rugby/baseball type of grounds and not cricketing ovals. Nevertheless, all credit to the Kiwis for fighting back and achieving a total which must have looked unachievable at 196/6 !
