hi, Our respectable former captain Sourav is given a chance in this test series. if he proves his talent once again and regains his fame and glory he can keep a separate place for him
Saurav has no sportsmans spirit, he has no shame to keep begging for a place in the Indian team, he should have let his bat done the talking but sad is the fact that he has managed to get into the test team resorting to pressure tactics from the Kolkata match etc. This guy never ever had the guts to dive to stop a ball whilst fielding fearing injury which would keep him out of a few matches making him poorer nevertheless by a few matches.., this speaks volumes about his commitment to the game, agreed he played great during his prime, but that should not have made him think that he can carry on using his past glories, Chappell, true to his reputation of beiong a toughie put things in the right perspective for the good of the Indian Cricket. Cheers, An avid Indian cricket fan
I think its not a family affair. Whatever sourav has done was a past. If you are playing for your country you have to perform consistantly, & if not you don't have any right to stay. And whatever Kolkata has done last time to indian cricket...its a shame
Ganguly's exclusion for one day series is the right decision. He had given enough chances to eprform, but in vail. Now let him play domestic cricket. Remember in one match Zaheer take his wicket in both the innings for duck. An Indian bowler can do this, Can you imagine how can he face a South African bowler or an Australian bowler. Rubbish.
Mr. Mukherjee deserves more hurting. No individual is above country's interest. No use of harpning on past glories. In a professional environment, there is no room for errors and bad performance. You could be best then, but what matters is how good are you now. Sourabh was rightly chucked out of the Indian squad. If he is good, let his perforamnce speak for him. Finally, Mr. Mukherjee, an advise to you..please chuck out your personal emotions and liking when it comes to country's interest.
