Being able to name your Supersub AFTER the toss is what it should it have been in the first place and I'm surprised that the ICC chose to introduce it the way they did - making the toss a crucial factor.
I'd recommend dividing the powerplay into 4 five-over nuggets with 2 decided by the bowling side & two by the batting side.
Hi, It would certainly be fair to both teams to have declared super sub after the toss. Nowadays with dew factor coming in day-night games have created an unfair contest for the team losing the toss. The existing rule of supersub is further giving them nightmares..
The whole rule of super sub is ridiculous. A team should know how to pick the right balance in terms of number of batsmen and bowlers. Teams with more all rounders should have an advantage. This rule allows one dimensional players to get away, e. g., a good batsman who is not so good a fielder can just bat and get replaced by someone else. For decades tyhe game was played with 11 players and there was never any probvlem with that format. If a team needs better balance then groom all rounders!!!!
As prevalant in US Football the Coach should have the power to challenge the Umpire's wrong decision .Two chances should be given. This can avoid a situation that had happened to Tendulkar when given out for a snick
