There is no reason of playing the match because hardy one day left and do this match produce any knowledeg i thin it will be a warm up match for both the team for the second test.
What's the use of playing a TEST match on the 4th and 5th day. The BCCI & TNCA can provide some consolation to the cricket loving and sporting public by converting the test match into two ODIs that can be played as one on the 4th day and one on the 5th day. As regards tickets , the one issued for the SA encounter on 22.11.2005 could have been utilised for one of these ODIs. For the other ODI , the tickets issued for this Test match could have been used.
I dont know whether the authorities had the foresight to think on the above lines. If not , it is hard to believe whether the cricket matches at the highest level are organised keeping the public's interest in mind more so in a cricket passionate country like India.
