We should not expect anything better from present Indian cricket. What kapil Dev said about our culture which an australian can never understand, is the currect analysis of the situation. Most unfortunate few Indians joined a foreigner to kill the spirit of Indians.

What Mr Chappel is doing right now is giving good
results? But at the sametime, the Targetted stars should
aim for good results and should prove themselves that
they will not become scapegoats.

What is wrong with a hit list?

The coach will obviously not like some players. That is why he will drop
them. The question though, is why he does not like them? If it is
because he believes their cricket is not upto the mark, they have a bad
influence on the team or because they just dont fit in, then it is fine to
not like players and remove them from the team. But if the dislike is
due to personal interaction off the field, then removal is not justified. I
dont believe that Chappell has had the time to interact much with
players outside practice or games, so I would believe that any hit list he
has is based on good cricketing reasons as mentioned before by me.

greg chappell wants the indian cricket team to performe like the Austrilan cricket team or let say that he want indian team to be world champion in 2007.
But i dont belive that he personaly dislike any one in the current indian team. I think he want to give more oppurunity to new players, take for instent player like srisanth,R.P.singh.In a way he is doing a good job.
THERE has been numerous indian coches, but indian team never been a top rank team for a consistent period, frankely speaking indian performance was always below par, even though they have some match winners from time to time .
As a spector seeing cricket from outside cannot understand way indian team can play like match winners

SO the bottam line is ,if Mr.chappell can change this trend before completing his assignment as indian coach why cannot give him a chance.
