Players get fined regularly. If you are white, it is just a matter of money. If you are brown or black, its more. In either case, 90% percent of the time a charged up playr gives vent to his emotions at a critical moment of the game when the umpires goof up. My question is: What about the umpires? Aren't they accountable? With a player, he loses his wicket, sometimes his side loses the game and in extreme cases, the player is sacked and loses his means of livelihood. What happens to the umopire? Darell Hair nearly ruined Muttiah Mralitharan's career and went on to a glorious career and even wrote his memoirs, making more money there, totally unrepentant.
The punishment meted out is just not enough. He should have been banned atleast for 2 matches. If it had been done by Indians then they would have given life ban. However i am glad that the Match refree has got the sense to punish these arrogant people atleast now
The punishment meted out to the 2 Aussie players is unfair. In fact, it should have been more than that. They should have been given 2-6 matches ban each(which is applicable to an Asian cricketer????).
If an Indian/Srilankan/Pakistani player has done this, then his carrer would have been in stake(just like what happened to Ganguly). Where are those bans ICC/Match refrees.

I thought Ganguly's supporters are extinct. My friend, Ganguly flouted rules repeatedly and couldnt finish the overs in time many times.Ok, there was some bias in these fines, but not in case of stupid Ganguly's. Forget ICC, many are praying that BCCI sacks him.
