i mean to say that bowlers should also be given batting practice in nets bezcause when they r required to bat for india at the time when the team needs them to bat.its my request 2 chappell that plz dont search "create alrounders"that what my exprience says.i am alo a cricketer.nd a alrounder too.
We have a 'world class' line up on paper, but when it comes down to the wire, we just crumble and fold up like a pack of cards!!! We are a pathetic team when the chips are down. I would consider our ranking of 7 amongst the ODI teams as 'very fortunate'!
I am yet to recollect, in recent times our performance under pressure. I think an international team of a certain class should be a team which learns to fight specially when the going gets tough! Anyone can do a fantastic job when there is no pressure and things are moving smoothly.
We must make it a practise of dropping guys if they do not perform in three games continuously; as an example look at Zaheer Khan; you drop him and in the Asian-Afro match; given the pitch supported fast bowlers, he was still the pick of the bowlers on display from both sides!! We must learn to get used to taking tough decisions, no pandering to emotions and shielding favourites!!
So the next time any of our boys do the flunkie for 3 matches at a stretch....just drop them!! At least some of of youngsters waiting in the wings get a fair shot at the international scene!!!
These guys keep saying we are lacking a allrounder. I see often Dinesh mongia in Headlines.Refer: http://in.rediff.com/cricket/2005/aug/22mongia.htm. Why these selectors are not considering him a alrounder ?

Hi
if indian selectors are not able to pick a guy who is making runs and getting wkts in the county arena and is the perfect fit case of an allrounder then india will slide to BOTTOM of the ICC ODI rankings not to surprise even below the minnows of cricket.
Are these indian selectors blind or they select people who does not perform at all.
