Virender Sehwag is a blinder batsman100 if luck other wise with a DUCK
I Think this selectors are blind& I also think this selection is full of influence and under table businesscorruption
Good Ganguly is backhe is a good captainbut he should improve his batting a lotwithout batting he is a wasteat least he should make more then 40 runs in each gameor should give stand for other batsmanHope he does well this time
Dhoni Should be back to the teamlet him play few matches he will perform better
Hope Tendulkar come back soon

Hoping to see India Win Matches

Laxman

I think VVS Laxman should be given a chance to play a full series.
His inclusion in the team gives a stable batting order.

Laxman Out !!!
by Dilip Tahiliani on Aug 14, 2005 12:35 AM

What have the selectors been fed on??? Throwing out VVS Laxman is not the doing of a sane mind.

How does Virender Sehwag deserve a place in the ODI side inspite of his poor performances in the last year in the ODI arena!!! The chap talks about scoring the first ODI double hundred & struggles to get to 50.

The Indian Cricket Board, Dalmiya & Co., should come out with a VRS scheme for underperforming oldies like Ganguly & Tendulkar. Do they add any worth to the team??? Ganguly at the crease resembles a bull in the middle of the expressway. He was hardly at ease in the tri-series in Lanka, struggling to stroke the ball.

Greg Chappell will forever be remembered for his underarm tactic. He wishes to blemish his record further by coaching the Indian cricket team. Good for him, after he is through with my national team he will be remembered for something even worse. His memory will never fade.

VVS Laxman has to be the unluckiest person in Indian cricket. His skills rank second to none, yet he is put on trial every second day. Haven't we seen it earlier with Sidhu & Manjrekar. May the almighty forgive the selectors for their misdeeds.

Same old story....
by Ashok on Aug 13, 2005 11:34 PM

As usual the selecotrs once again proved they r dumb. First there is no reason why they have ommited kumble. He got only 2 chances. HE was wonderful in the firstone and missed in the next. His partner Harbajan didn't did well in any matches. The next horrible thing is ommision of Balaji. They have given him only one chance and that's it he is finished. Agarkar,i didn't know how comes into the team even though he doesn't perform in international or national arena. Those who support agarkar pls put his national and international record for the last 2 years. I think he is the first player to get this number of chances in Indian team(Even in all nations cricket temas). He can be rest assured that he will again get a chance even if he don't play well in this tour.Hail Indain cricket selection board.

Only good thing they did is ommiting both VVSLAxman and Zaheer.

LAXAM'S OMMISION
by Ramesh babu on Aug 13, 2005 11:31 PM

Its suprising to see laxam sacked from the team citing the age and non performance . even the wall of indian tema MR.Dravid also experienced the same during the initial stages of his one day career. i feel the same with laxam also at present . but still i strongly feel that he is better player than ur Indian Captain . and has performed well then him when compared.if selectors r really giving importance to age then even ganguly should also be axed .as he is non performer both as batsmen as well as fielder and more than he is older than Laxam. i am not able to understand the criteria of selection process . nore injustices is being done to players from south.
even dropping balaji from oneday squad is similar .
if age is the factor then he is under 25 . so why should he be dropped. selectors have lot to say . for gods sake please dont supress the talent and upcoming players .

Selectors do pointless changes again
by pranay on Aug 13, 2005 09:09 PM

The Indian Selectors are trying the communist manifesto or something then why change only four players , should dump the entire 11. What's the point dropping Laxmipati Balaji , probably because he takes too many wickets and provides varitey to the attack. And Anil Kumble dropped for Murali Kartik because Kumble is too accurate and economical , experienced for the oppositions liking , should rather play Kartikh who can bowl the ball with a liitle more in consistency. And what's the point keeping J P Yadav and dropping Zaheer Khan and gettign yet another new guy in , beats common sense.

utterly rubbish decision
by phinehas on Aug 13, 2005 07:27 PM

BCCI has never learnt and will never learn from the mistakes this is my genuine comment,we have a lot of evidence, that the best batsman or a player cant lead the team , lets focus on Kapil dev sunil gavaskar, vengsarkar (Ravi shastri as a short timer),K srikanth, azharuddin, sachin tendulkar, ganguly, and now dravid, after looking all these, still BCCI wants to jeopardise the best players career, well again the same foolishness, they have given the responsibilty to a person who has to be on the sideline and should be watching others and to learn from them, he has no class left, he's just playing for the pride (ganguly)the place, we have a lot of talents coming up,try to experiment those rather then keeping old fokls, it is also a big discouragment to the upcomers, these guys are making them to leave the sports, awake BCCI other wise one day will be at the bottom after the bangladesh.the captaincy should be given to any of the experienced player not necesserly ganguly or dravid, can be any one,BCCI should now change its thinking,in the past not ganguly has led india to victory but the young talented players has done, however he is most matches winning captain not the tournament or CUP

why Dhoni is out of the team ?
by Inder on Aug 13, 2005 07:12 PM

I don't know why dhoni is out of the team Dinesh Kartik i dont think is a better option. Dhoni is not the only player who is not able to performe well in the last tri series(wi srilanka india). Then why only dhoni Sehwag, Khaif, Ganguly ... all of them are not upto the mark and decision of droping Dhoni is very BAD..................
