Wadekar wants Dravid
by pradip on Aug 13, 2005 04:50 PM

My message to Mr Wadekar is simple. Look run machine of a team has nothing to do in terms of victory acheived. Look at Gavaskar,Tendulkar,Lara or inzamam. They made tons but could not give victory to their respective nations. On the otherhand persons like Ganguly, Nassir Hussain Saun Pollock ,Arjun Rantunga and other lesser mortals achieved sweet victories for their nation whatever their success or failure there. That is what is the difference between a Ganguly or a Dravid. Understood Mr.Wadekar? We need victories for our team so long Ganguly can achieve that feat. We don't bother whether run comes from his bat or others. Presently he is undisputably one of the top ranking Captain of this game.

Cricket - Saurav

Wrongly Written in Heading.
If you read the entire Article , Wadekar no where mentioned that in place of Saurav Ganguly , Rahul should be made Captain.
Most of the people do not read the entire article and media take the advantage by providing wrong information in the Heading.

Ganguly, Dravid in race for captaincy
by neelabja on Aug 12, 2005 03:53 PM

i dont think dravid has got the right attitude to lead the team. Ganguly should be the right choice for the selectors. Dravid lacks the aggression that ganguly has. and about his present form i think he is just going through a bad patch thats it. we should not forget he just completed 10,000 runs in one day.so for the sake of betterment of indian cricket Ganguly should be the captain...

Time for a change
by D. Karthikeyan on Aug 12, 2005 11:30 AM

Considering the srilanka one day series, i feel its time for a change in captaincy and change of batting position for ganguly. its better for him and india to bat him at No. 4 and playing Hemang Badani at No. 3 and Rahul at No. 5. let both kaif and yuvraj fight for No.6. hemang badani has a better temperment and average than both yuvraj and kaif. he has been playing at no. 3 for a lot of years for Tamilnadu and is consistant.

Time to change
by S.Rajappa on Aug 12, 2005 11:21 AM

Hi,
There is a saying "Change is Universal,Changing is personal".The selectors should come out of their conventional shells of taking decesions under influence. Its high time Dravid takes over the mantle and ideally Gangully should retire and make way for youngsters.Laxman should also retire with dignity.Time they hang their boots and bats.
Good Luck Dravid.
