Low in confidence or lack of attitude!
by kunaal on Aug 10, 2005 04:16 PM

As an ardent cricket fan, I wonder how many times more do I have to see the same spectacle unfold-India choking at the Final of yet another tournament!

No foreign coaches,no thinking hats,no "kinesiologists" will help India since we lack the vital ingredient required for winning viz.the will to win!

So,unless the Indian cricketers indulge in some serious soul searching, they will continue to let their fans down, and end up giving such miserable excuses.

no singles
by abc on Aug 10, 2005 03:45 PM

One thing which I dont understand is why indian players rely only on boundaries. after 15 overs they should take more singles and doubles to keep the score board tickling.
Dravid, Ganguly specially lack in taking singles.

India needs a psychological support
by Rajakumari on Aug 10, 2005 02:57 PM

As rightly pointed out by the Indian Captain and the coach, India needs a mental strength to take lead in its winning streak. India was like that at one point... SOLUTION : Appointing a psychologist for the team would be the best idea.

suggestion to dravid
by pankaj on Aug 10, 2005 02:20 PM

Dear Dravid Ji,

Indian bowlers didnt try anything new. They continue to bowl on the same way. Kumble or Harbhajan didnt change the sides which if you are not successful you should try. Kumble even didnt tried the faster one once. I dont know whether bowling slow was a game plan or not. But being a experienced campaigner he should have tried that.

Batsmen have to show confidence
by N. S. Pillai on Aug 10, 2005 02:06 PM

I agree to Dravid's view.
I am of the opinion that almost all thebatsmen who failed yesterday had been showing mannerisms which indicated that they were not sure whether they would be able to face the next ball. Their attention was elsewhere and not on the target.

Once u have confidence the situation will change the positive way.

Dear Dravid, Just do not give credit to Sri Lankans for this deserved victory, rather try to learn from them, they play for the country and you people play for the money or for BCCI, let the feeling of playing for India come from within.

India played as per the script
by vijay on Aug 10, 2005 01:27 PM

This is not the first time India loses in a final.Especially everything is fine with yesterday's game and needless to say that our batsmen throw their wickets as they were told to do so. It seemed like that. Kaif has done a remarkable job by taking two wickets- i mention the runouts he has got involved into. Finally he scored some 30+ so that no one can suspect like in the other way and people can feel like he played till the very end.

To be honest, Yesterday's match is a sure win match for India. They lost it for no reason. People got used to these kind of hide and seek game. Playing out of their skin to get into the finals and lose the finals as decided.

Every one will forget this loss by entering another final.

Expecting some other die-hard indian fans to share their comments.

Thanks,
Vijay.
