Our Indian selectors and jounalists waste time in petty issues which affects the morale of the team. One thing is to be remembered that captaincy of any team, for that matter, is not hereditary privilege. It is decided by merits of indiviual players. Somebody is interested in bringing back Ganguly and therefore, the subject is being raked up time and again to bring back Ganguly. I don't understand why these ex-crickets are so much interested in imposing their comments on captaincy issues and create a new perspective. Let's stop imaging the things and just watch the cricket and enjoy. Leave the boys play on their own.
I think,if India soon decides on a thought leader, apart from the batallion of support staff, like Coach, Asst Coach, Batting Coach, Bowling Coach, Reikhi healer, yooga teacher, etc, Srinath would be the right man. Clarity in thought...Probably this is what made him quit cricket early and take up the media job... he always knew he could survive better with his writing than his bowling
And on what basis Sri, you think that Ganguly is not a right fit as a captain any more? If he is in the team he should be captaining India - because no Dravid or no Tendulkar can match him and if he is not good enough he shouldnt be in the playing eleven! But I'm sorry I gotta disagree - as long as Ganguly is good enough to be in top 11 of team India he is the ONLY one captain in my books.
it is very strange and sad that rahul is always getting the step-motherly treatment from the commendators, especially from ravisastri, navjothsingh siddu, boycott etc. from their commends it can be clearly seen that either they are jelous of rahul or they are not getting any monitory benifit from him as expected by them. they as well as some section of the press are stooping very low to critisise him even though he pays in all kind of roles in the team from consistant batting, wicket keeping, fielding and also keeping a level and cool head where as some of the players who wvwn if not played well consistantly get praise and exagerated and uncalled for importance from them. It shows that rahul is a very straight forward person who does not bribe the people to get undue support from them and press. no wonder indian team does not fare well any where. many of the players and commendators are corrept and interseted in self=glory only. please for the sake of our nation/s interest please stop the nonsencial commends.
