congratulations. a good milestone is achieved, but the show is still going on. concentrate on ur bat as such, the ball doesn't go directly in any fielder or even the wicket keeper.
my wife Priti joins me in giving u the best wishes.
There is no doubt in the fact that saurav was behind "the rising" of this indian team. But over the past few YEARS, saurav has not performed anywhere close to where he was, say, when he had come in.
Even a bowler making his debut starts bowling short once saurav is in and almost always ends up getting his wocket - he has never tried to art of playing such stuff. Not over his long career.
His "fighting" 50, which ate 110 balls, against the lankans only made the other guys run on their heels and India eventually lost the match due to fewer runs.
It is very obvious that saurav's place in this indian team is only by default. By merit - he would be out of any combination i pick. But i am not the selector isn't it - that's what a million (probably minus the few thousands in calcutta/bengal) would say.
In the off-side there is god and then it WAS ganguly. Beleive me - his time is over. His recent performances prove this. It would only serve indian cricket if he comes down himself - it is obvious that no one is gonna be RIGHT enough and take him out.
If he doesnt - we're only gonna see many more such losses for the Indian team.
