West Indies were a losing side today. Nevertheless they deserve to be complemented for their never-say-die spirit.
The young debutants would have done better, may have even overtaken Sri Lanka, if their capitan had played a positive role. He was a pedestrian while fielding as well as batting. He was simply watching his junior play without offering any positive suggestions or pepping up his juniors.
At this rate, WI will not be be able to win a single match, though India has the dubious distinction of going into reverse gear just when they look like winning a match. That inborn tendency of Indian team unfortunately manifests even now.
Chandrapaul should take a clue from his Sri Lankan counterpart and keep his team mates in high spirits.
