Hi, I think the outlook of the Asian selection committe looks more professional than the indian selection committee as atleast they can select a better player based on their current performances rather than historical data which is good only for logistics.Ideally Ravi Shastri should have been the head of Indian Selection committee rather than Kiran More .Factually ganguly does not deserve even a place in Indian team..THe sri lankan tour is probably his last chance.Defenetily Ganguly does not deserve any place in Asian team. It is not only the ommission of Ganguly but the whole selection process seems to be ridiculus and illogical. The selection process is based on personal liking and disliking of the so-called selectors.
Gangully is a non performer........His selection in Indian XI itself is questionable and debatable. His staking claim and thrashing the Selectors for his omission in Asian XI is amusing !!!
By the way what's Mr. Ganguly's problem? Surprising that he is talking about his form for the past 4 matches only. For the past few years he has been, literally, the non-playing captain of India. Maybe India can afford such luxury- why should something bigger like Asia suffer the same fate? Surprising still, is the fact that he just walk backs into the Indian team as if, it is his right. Someone who can't bat, bowl and field is a part of the Indian cricket team -for God knows what?-may be attitude. Unfortunately-he has mentored a number of younger players with the same attitude. If he is a great leader, let him sit outside and lead the team- be the non-playing captain, as in tennis.
Mr. Ganguly- better let your bat do the talking in the coming matches. Atleast complete the 33 runs that is required to reach the 10,000 mark. If not for the country , atleast do it for your personal records.
