Thank you Mr. John Wright !
by Dr. Cajetan Coelho on May 01, 2005 03:51 PM

I feel John did a fine job with Team India. He was certainly an appropriate choice who allowed much scope and room for our cricketers to experiment and blossom. Barring a few hiccups of the recent past which is part and parcel in every chapter of human history, we certainly feel Team India is on the rise. We have to keep up the momentum and continuity. Our hugely talented boys have discovered their strengths and are realising their enormous potential. We need to support them with a facilitator who can act as coach, friend, guide and mentor as they prepare themselves to conquer the summits of cricketing glory. Thank you Mr. John for being with us all these years. We wish you well in your future assignments and plans. Our greetings to you and to your loved ones back home.

I want to give a suggesstion for batting line up in One dayers in following order

Yuvrraj is not a good player agaist spin bowling where as is best against fast bowling.

wright came and made things right
by u on Apr 23, 2005 08:03 PM

wright was the right man for india !! though he came too late !!
earlier an "away series" was considered just as a formality in which the team would draw 4 tests and lose 1 and lose the series. now it is not like that. there is a killer instinct in the team. and for a team whose bowling options consisted only of spinners and part time bowlers, now have their strength in fast bowlers. bowlers who can be depended on to run through the opposition 2 times within 5 days !!
thats a remarkable turnaround for a team like india !! all this is because of wright and ganguly. ganguly is going through a lean phase. give him a break of 3 to 4 matches and bring him back. india needs a captain like him, who will lead the men and who believes in his men, and who stands by his men.
for the first time india has a captian who can demand players, and ganguly had to toil to achieve this positon. and yuvraj, kaif, sehwag, laxman, balaji, zaheer, irfan.... all have come up during his tenure.
india should apoint a foreign coach. former cricketers can and should give suggestions and opinions anytime. but which foreigner will give suggestions free of cost?????

Ganguly
by Srinivas on Apr 23, 2005 10:57 AM

John Wright has done his best for the Indian Team. I don"t see any reason why Saurav has to continue as a Player in our Team leave alone the Captain, India booasts of best manpower in the world, why can't we train the young chaps. It is a total fiasco for the Indian Team in the Recent Series. Ganguly neither performed well in Test matches nor in One day series. His total score hardly crossed the Double digit figure. It is better for him to retire and pave way for the Talented Players
