i completely agree with what chris cairns have to say as per the current ODI rankings. Indians are not in the best of the form at the moment, but certainly they are not worst of the teams to get 8 ranked ODI team. I am still confused why different sponsors have different way of accessing team ratings. winning against a bad team isn't a great accomplishment, but losing to a good team should be a brave effort..... considering the current indian line-up there is not way that INDIANS would fall below 5 atleast for the next decade.....

We have good batsman and competent bowlers. They deserve the best ranking. We are intelligent but we need practice and application. The press needs NEWS to sell their papers - anything. The grey matter in cricket fields, I believe, prepare a blue print for each player his weak points how he can be dismissed by any bowler and how a bowler should bowl for each player. Perhaps this is not done well for the Indians.Unless this is done, We cannot win matches even if our rank is high
