Why not Think This way

John Wright didn't had to sit with the previous Coach to learn or take tips. With his Experience he has brought the Team to where it is now from where it was 5 yrs back. The BCCI with the wealth it has obviously would not pay less and get some tom dick and harry to do the job of a Coach rather get the Best person in the Industry....

I really dont know if i make sense....anyway my view

I really appreciate and more than anything support and agree the candid views presented. Its sheer recklessness and irresposiblity and lack of basic planning that BCCI is at the state it is in. Why dont the so called big names humble themselves and learn atleast how other cricket boards work. Are we so dumb that we cant even copy or immitate their correct actions. i am dumb founded on the attitudes of the so called authorities of BCCI

can we do nothing about it?
by sachin kulkarni on Apr 22, 2005 10:40 PM

the article re-itereates the fact the BCCI, with huge monetary potentials to raise the standard of the game in the country, achieves hardly 10% of it.
can nothing be done about the way the BCCI functions. i know that cricket fans round the country sincerely hope that something should be done, but at the back of their mind they are aware of the unpleasant results, when politics mixes with administration.
can nothing be done to involve the general public in certain administrative issues related to the working of the BCCI...or still better can't a democratic system be introduced to elect the BCCI members???
many fans like me are sure hoping that indian cricket gets its long due justice.

BCCI is not sleeping, it is pretending to be sleeping.
You can wake one who is sleeping not hte one who is pretending to be.

is BCCI sleeping
by madhavarao annasamudram on Apr 22, 2005 01:50 PM

The BCCI is doing disservice to cricket lovers of this country by sitting over the selection of the coach. Greg Chapel is the best person for this job and BCCI should not think of money by choosing a good cricket genius to enhance the performance of the indian team.

BCCI

Very simple reason. The polticians of the BCCI are there to CONTROL Indian cricket, not further it. It is high time we demand dismantling of BCCI, which is now an organization of control freaks. We need a new organization with a new mandate, one that considers its duty to promote excellence in cricket in India. Let us dissolve BCCI and make 'Cricket India'.

True!!!

Even at Rs5 lacs per month for a coach for an idle period of next four months, it would be Rs.20lacs... much less than what BCCI spends in one meeting of its pseudo-workers/officials/selectors.

Yes Bcci for sure is leeping. They always react to a situation and that is knee jerk .These guys r bunch of jokers at the helm of affairs. They Know nothing about cricket. They should have appointed a new coach as the team has rest time for four months so that new coach could have made some difference rather then appointing him at the start of the season and expect results day one....................
