hey i think there is complete lack of proffesionalism in indian team and in every match they have been outplayed in evry department of cricket, whether it is bowling ,bating everything and i don't think they could even think of wining with out changing their attitude towards every match.

dravid:he is the senior and good batsman, but he is not managed the team.if he will manage his form will collepse
2.he is young and energitic,he got many success in his captancy, like under 19 world cup.he i the experience men in captain better than dravid.

About the worst performance of Indian Cricket Team
by M.A.Khan on Apr 19, 2005 11:38 AM

Dear Sir,
The main reason i think for the present performance of Indian Team is the pressure built upon them. They are projected as they are the India not indians. If won, India is won, if lost, India is lost.
This is the reason why if a cricketer plays well in a match he will be the hero and if he doesnt play he is the villain. Players are mentally tortured for thier bad performances. if they play India is behind them and if they dont Indians are on them. The main culprit behind this scenario is the Corporate Companies. The Coco-cola,Pepsi,HeroHonda and even local companies project the new comers as the Heros so as to sale their products. so a newcomer who plays even two matches and performs well, will be in the adds next day. It seems that indian crickets are craving for money. It also shows that they are having the aptitude of "Make hay when sunshines", may be tomorrow i will not be there.
So my suggestion is that Cricketers should make themselves not to go in media publicity. They should maintain their dignity and be Cricketers and not sales men of things like hair pin to aero planes. If they maintian this for 3 years i bet Indian Team will be the best one.

Retain saurav
by Vinod on Apr 19, 2005 10:06 AM

Hi all,

I would like share my thought on this issue. It is not question of sack Mr.Saurav or retain saurav. Fortunately he needs the break, anyway it is happened throu ban.

He is one of most successful indian captain. Indian players are lagging of consistency except Mr.Shewag and Mr.consistent. Batting is not at all problem. Main are we have to work on his our Fielding & Bowling.

we know indian have good batting strength, but we don't know how to play in pressure situation particulary while chasing above 300

hope this will be sorterd out soon.

Failures of This Indian time
by indopak@rediff.co.in on Apr 19, 2005 08:33 AM

Dear sir,

It is unfair on the part of the ppl to criticize Saural Ganguly sice these are the people who oce lauded him when indians are going great guns.if India goes on winning all the matches each and every year there is nothin called like players losing form nd consistency.
This lack of form does happen to easch and everybody of any country but problem with this current indian team was that everybody lacked consistencey at the same time. it is this time that the players should be given the support which they deserve it. Remeber 2001 series when Aussies toured India Everybody knows how Ricky ponting and Gilchrist played against harbhajan and co- but where they are today-everybody knows it- since their country people had confidence in them

Why India lost?
by Ketan Palekar on Apr 19, 2005 08:27 AM

It is too obvious that the series was fixed. Can you imagine a side losing 4-2 after being 2-0 up. Our cricketers can always give the excuse of 'great uncertainties of cricket'. But why should they win and win a couple of lakh if they are able to get a couple of crore by losing the match. They are a bunch of hungry individuals who would do anything to make money and gain fame. It is a win-win situation. Pakistan is happy because they won in India, our cricketers are happy because their swiss bank accounts have being credited, BCCI/selectors are happy as they are being all taken care of in the supply chain. The only ones who are left shocked are the Indian fans. Match fixing has now become so pervasive that everyone in India was saying that the series would be fixed, and indeed it was done brazenly by our cricketers in front of a 1000 million people. What a shame. No one can do anything about it. Our cricketers deserve to be publicly flogged for taking the Indian fans for a ride.
