Hi Prem,

Thanks for ur exclusive coverage. For those of us outside India, you were a tremendous cricketing source. But this series has been heart breaking for a fan like me. I guess we have to appreciate Pakistan who has done so well this season after being considered one of the weakest pakistani teams ever. If this is what the weakest pakistani team could accomplish, then I shudder to think of what a more stronger one would have done to india , a 6/0 white wash maybe. I guess more than the defeat what rankles is the lack of any sort of resistance. When batting second, it is as if we are completely unable to perform.

But what can be done to remedy the situation? Should ganguly be brought back? I agree with most of the people here that he should be rested and asked to prove his batting first in domestic cricket before he can be brought back into the team. I mean, a player cannot be part of the team just to be a captain. I think, dravid should be given a n extended reign to work on his team. You cannot judge him on just 2 matches. But what about the rest of the team ? I am kind of clueless there. The new coach, whoever he is, is going to have tough times ahead.

dear prem

thanx for wonderful update during the disappointing series. i think it's the right time to show way to ganguly and tendulkar. can't indian selectors see the team management of australia. a brilliant non performing player in few matches an dhe is history. why our players deserve so many chances. why selectors eyes couldn't find talent in a 1 billion population. i know that these words will mean nothing to indian team who are just interested in raking millions rather than thinking about fans across india who treat them like god, but anyhow i feel that it's time for indian fans not to support cricketers everytime but to teach them lesson whenever they perform under par.

Nature of the weak

Hi Prem,
1st of all, many thanx to u for bringing us the pleasure of 'watching' cricket matches form office, and without any television!
Next, it's time that we recognize the courage of the young Pakistani team, and salute them for the very reason for being the more committed side.
And, it's also time that we recognize the false gods of 'Greatness'.
We, the fools, have been worshipping our cricketers all these years and have made demigods out of them. It is becoz of us, some of these 'heroes' think that the team is a 'utility' for their personal achievements. Particularly in this tour, there is no better example of this self-centered attitude, than the 2nd day at Mohali. If the so-called 'Great' does not pay heed to the necessity of the team, if he so incapable of realizing the match situation, and if, he does not know how to respect the efforts of his team members, then can u explain, Prem, what is he doing in the team? Can u imagine a Ponting, a Gilchrist, an Inzamum, a Lara or a Kallis to bat in this manner? In fact, that very act set the trend for the entire series, which culminated in the one-day series! How long, Prem, should we endure these parasites?

Ganguly must definitely be shown the door by the selectors. Also the hapless Zaheer Khan and the ever-injured Nehra should be dropped.I havent seen our captain and zaheer perform since the Brisbane test match.I really cant understand why agarkar wasnt given a chance when it was so obvious that none of our bowlers were bowling even decently.Sachin i dont know what has happened to him.somehow throughout his career he hasnt been a real match-winner unlike Dravid. Its a sad end to Wright's tenure which saw India scale new cricketing heights.

Pick a new team along with Sehwag & Dravid

Its time to send our high profile "stars" home where they can try their hand in some other job rather than play cricket for india., The current players seem to be more interested in sponsorship deals than bring glory for India. I guess the public has to be blamed for making heroes out of them after an occasional good performance.

The intense hunger & drive to win is not there at the moment . One fine example is Michael Kasprowics of Australia, a player with limited talent , he was able to displace Brett Lee in the Aus. sqaud with his hard work and perseverance.

Hey Prem,
Needless to say i wasted the whole day in front of the TV instead of njoyin it..I have decided am not going to watch cricket mathces again..Will watch the highlights if at all..
But the point i wanna make is this.
About sachin tendulkar...
Is he really great?..I dont respect this guy any longer..Having a great ability does not necessarily translate into team wins & thats all that matters at the very end...
The following points,
1) He makes batting look positively difficult
2) There is no positiveness in his batting anymore
3) Whenever the team needs him most especially when we need to chase big scores he lets the team down time & again. The only exception in his long career being australia at sharjah
4) And with a heavy heart i say today that he is no match winner & definitely not in the league of inzamam or steve waugh..These guys have guts & temparament
5) He is unfit to open in one dayers as he is not able to score quickly & safely..He always gives the impression that he is going to get out..
Ganguly being thrown out is a good thing..Time for sachin to play only in tests..

Hey Prem,
first of all i would like to thnks a ton for ur great display of ur commentry in front of us.It was really awesome.. Yeh following are my feeling which could india needs to else our team is going to treat a Minow like Bangaladesh..
1- Remove Tendulkar from the Opening slot.and ask him to play on 2nd down or 1 down.
2-Bring and made Yevi as an Oneday Opener with sewhag.
3- Remove Ashsih nehera from the Team.
4-Remove Kumble from the Team and ask him to take retirement from the One day atleast he is just waste.
5-Retain Ganguly as a Captain.
6-He can also eligible for Openning If Yuvi fails at any time.
7- Use Dhoni when ever required for hitting big shots not that he should alys come at One down, mind it he is not good in Technik.
8-Please donot follow and donot take players Based on there past resords,Example.Tendulkar was a Great bats man Before.....Now he is not upto the standard, Dhoni played a Briniant nock in One down , he should alys go One Down , Like that,.....
9-Ask this cricketer to keep away from Earning money by uuing the media. that is ADVERTISING FOR NE COMMERCIAL.
10-ASK all playes to PLay and take Domestic Cricket very seriously.

Indian Cricket Team

Hi All,

I have a idea in mind to teach Indian cricket team a lesson.Lets not watch any matches on TV or cricket ground for a while.
Let the team play with some major team like Australia in Indian grounds with no spectators. This kind of Insult might probably help team India for whom it seems the word EGO has no meaning. They lose so badly that even a Person who does not watch cricket gets hurt but they are least bothered.

Lets teach them a lesson.

Vivek

Is this a war ?, it is just a sport.

After enjoying it for hours, it is unfair to blame any team. No one wants to lose, it just happens that way.

After all, If a particular team has to win, why play.

There is no fun if the outcome has to be 'what we expect'.
