Hello all cricket fans I would like to make a point in my comments about these players... About Ganguly:: I really dunno why saurav is still there in the team, agree he is the best captain India has ever seen, but this is modern times where the likes of even Steve Waugh are kept on the bench when they score less.I guess Ganguly should be given some rest and and asked to play local cricket for a month or so, so that he can get his confidence back and play his pre 2003 style where one could see his beautiful sixes and centuries About Tendulkar:: Here is the best batsman of the world ? I am not sure whether this tag is really for Tendulkar or for any other batsman like say Lara or Steve Waugh. Both Lara and Waugh have tremendous averages while chasing and everybody knows waugh's heroics in the match against South Africa in the World Cup.I guess a better tag for him would be the batsman with the best personal milestones or records. Show me one match where he as a batsman has single handedly taken india out of trouble. I am sure nobody will remember any such instances. Conclusion:: I guess both these players need rest or some yoga, or counselling, or better still some local cricket
hai prem seeing this match a doubt arises that would india win the final match at delhi & makes series draw,it's the time to think what happens without ganguly,dravid can become a good captain but he has long way to reach the ganguly's talent ,giving new ball to kumble dravid made a big mistake. any how it as over ,it's better to bring back ganguly as a captain qickly as much as possible
I am more than happy to see Pakistan crushing India like anything. When the lion is missing in the crew, this is surely gonna happen. Whether Ganguly performs or not, he is required in the team.
Everyone are blaming about Ganguly alone, But there are some other causes for the downfall of India in the current Series aginst pakistan.... One of the major cause for India losing so badly to pakistan in the third match is irresponsible batting of Yuvraj Singh..... India was strugling with four wickets down and with Dravid at the other end its Yuvraj s responsibility to held up the innings.... But to the poor extent he thrown his wicket to Naveed... Today too Yuvraj got out when India is in a very poor Condition.... This irresponsiveness is due to the Strong position in the team.....
Indians are lacking the kind of spirit and fighting nature that needed. They giveup very easily and it should not be the tendency. Somebody should see and learn from them. People are losing interest in cricket. Something should be done.
Hi Folks, I think its about time that we stop all our stupid outcry against Saurav. For all those fans of cricket, we dont know how to stick to apna guys and encourage them when they are down. All we know is to be good at bashing someone. Pls give Saurav his due credit for without him, we would never have been in the big league. Everyone has a bad time and I think its just Saurav's turn now. I'm sure if allowed and less pressurized Saurav will perform and not to forget....HE IS DEFINITELY THE BEST CAPTAIN Indian cricket has ever seen. To be able to survive Australian sledging, winning in Pakistan on them, clenching the Natwest Trophy, and not to forget our cruise to Finals in the World Cup, I wonder which Captain would have achieved it. For those who say Mr. Pataudi was the best captain, let me tell you he didnt handle his team in the circumstances that Dada did. There was no match fixing scandal then, there were no sledging then, they never had the kind of schedules our cricketers have now, not to forget the pressure that the team handles now.
Do we really think anyone else would have handled it better? I think its our turn to give him due credit, stop disgracing our Dada.
I was reading your comments section and found it amazing how people change colour. I am referring to the anti Ganguly guys. If you want to see his record open the stats provided on rediff yesterday and go through it and you will notice that Ganguly's average is better than the career average.
I feel sorry to hear such comments from experienced people like Mohinder Amarnath.
Now a days sachin is mature enough to play for averages. prior to 1999 he played for the country pride. now he realised his averages are more important.every series he scores one century regularly. nothing more or less than that.Just observe. Indians are playing like millionaires . especially yuvraj, ganguly. they hardly play ranji too. Very bad for cricket.
