Sick and tired of watching India unable to defend good totals. Its time for Srinath to get into the system and effect the change(as selector or coach). These batting fests are just plain ugly to watch. Here are a couple of things that can be changed in cricket rules to bring the balance back the world over.. a) No more one bouncer. Let the batsmen hook. As it is anything above the head is a wide anyways b)No leg byes c) LBW- If ball is going to stumps (from outside off and in-line) its an LBW. Forget point of contact etc d) Field restrictions only on first 10 overs.
India should definitely go in with 5 bowlers. 2 fast, one medium and 2 spinners and stick with it. Also stick to a rotation scheme. Bowlers tire faster than batsmen. Steve Waugh was lamenting these batting fests and lack of bowlers. India will be number one only when we have 3 bowlers in the top 10 instead of 3 batsmen..Now all we have are the fastest 100s and 50s against us.
Traditionally India has had poor bowlers. With emphasis on fitness and more bouncy pitches in local tourneys we might encourage more pace bowlers to come off the system..from a billion people country
Dear Sirs, This the tough time for ganguly, but still it is the period were ganguly can go back to look his past carrier. He is the second Indian and Third International Player to achieve 10,000. So this break will definetly bring back ganguly back to his form.
