I am always surprise to hear that always captain gets punishment flow slow over rate which in fact effected by some othere reasons too!!! like injuries, changing bat/ball pad etc., and bowlers are too responsible for the same So Why Captain only?
Its a welcome decision for all pakistan supporters and big blow to india's chances. Playing against your arch rivals with only 10 players wont be easy. Can't we have something like non playing captain in cricket too. I thank ICC for their genuine attempt to help indian cricket team.
Match ban on Ganguly should be removed after reviewing the whole matter.ICC should have much more control on match referees because it seems that the match referees are too much harsh on Ganguly as his positive agressive and has led India team to Team India.It is also seen ICC is not being neutral in many cases such as - the bowling action of Harbhajan,Muralidharan,Shoaib Malik.
Why is he testing his luck? The odds are against him. Let others have chance to show their prowess. Let the Prince of Kolkata know that captaincy is not hereditary and is conferred so far as he is fit to lead the team. Let Dravid be given a chance. One get's a feeling that BCCI is Ganguli's estate.
i think ganguly should take this ban in positive way & should rest for 6 one dayers. As it is he is not in good form & is not playing good, so it is a good excuse for him & put the blame on others.
This is a good move by BCCI I believe Ganguly must get the verdict in his favour.
Ganguly is the victim in every time, though he is having a very good record as a captain for his country and also as an individual cricketer but he was targeted earlier also very badly by media, by veteran cricketers / commentators etc. Yes this is true that his bad-patch is going on but I believe (not only me most of the common man) believe that he will definitely overcome the problem with he great confidence and bravery. I wish from my heart, good luck for the coming days.
I strongly feel Ganguly should play the last two ODI's against pakistan.The ddecision against him regarding slow over rates should be rethinked by ICC because the over rates are delayed becuase there are crucial times where the field placements are to be reshuffled often when opposite team is attacking and getting runs in abnormal rate.the other reason is about his form and team effort, he is improving from match after match the last two odis are the best oppurtunities for him to prove himself as a batsman. bcci should think of changing captain after this series.
