Day: 15th April Time:9:55 AM
Total: 39-3 (11.2) | Curr. RR: 3.44

I still beleive India can win this match... cos this is a friendship series and the final result will be 3-3

Pakistani's wont like to lose the Delhi match...so today's match result should be in favor of India..

By keeping himself away from Kanpur match Ganguly has showed that he is a good captain.... THERE IS NO POINT IN CAPTAINING A TEAM IN A "FIXED MATCH"...

Should Ganguly play at Kanpur
by pdkamath on Apr 15, 2005 09:21 AM

He Should not play again for this country. By the way why did he go to Dalmiyas House ? He should have consulted BCCI for any guidance with regards to the latest issue.

I thinks he has all the qualities of a Politician!. People like Dravid, and Kumble are stuck with this man.

Ganguly - Play or Not to Play
by Anon on Apr 15, 2005 08:55 AM

I think the two greatest things that happened to Indian cricket were/are:

1)The day Ganguly was appointed captain and he changed the team into a the then back-bone less team to a fighting pack of wolves

2)The day Ganguly was banned as it will rid the team of the biggest liability

Ganguly, have a heart and brains to step aside.

Common folks. With due respect to Ganguly and his exploits on the cricket field, one can see that his days are over. He is not able to put the bat to the ball. Even in during his prime time, he was a suspect to the pace bowlers, specially the rising deliveries. Having said this, I can not deny that he was a treat for his off-side strokes. Mind you, he was.

With regard to his captaincy, I feel the credit should go to his team members for the success. In all those wins, what was his contribution as a batsman very insignificant, I suppose.

No, I am not running down Ganguly. But its the fact that on his current performance and form which is persisting for couple of years, he does not deserve a place even in the state team, least in the national team.

Ganguly should step down on his own, if he wants to be remembered as one of the successful captains; doesnt matter even if he was not directly responsible for those famous wins.

It's a pity that a person who played a huge role in pulling India from dumps is being asked to step down. Really we are heartless and we are justifying the whole ICC action, the institution with full of prejudice. Initially, when Indians were doing well in early 2000 to 2004, we claimed him to be architect of a team India. Now, we are calling him doing the job of damaging the team. It is all coming down to a point where we are cheering his dismissal! Very sad and disgusting. It will surely take some interest out of Cricket as it is giving way to such a development. Sachin Tendulkar was smart in giving up his claim on Captainship. Now, we understood why he has done so. He foresaw the events to come if he has failed, and how Indians, only Indians, will react to this.

Ganguly in fifth ODI!!?
by Kapil Gupta on Apr 15, 2005 01:37 AM

Are you kidding me? Its such a good break for India. I am hoping that we get someone good enough in next 6 ODI's that BCCI will have think whether they want Gangulay back in the team at all.

I am actually thankful to ICC that they have done what BCCI couldn't do for whatever reasons. Hip Hip Hurrah!!
