They failed as i had suspected
by Madhu on Apr 11, 2005 10:41 AM

I was wondering what would happen to this 'famed' Indian batting if they got the short end of the stick. As it happened in the first two tests and in the first two ODIs, the Indian batsmen were gungho when they won the toss and got the use of better conditions and no pressure of a huge total staring down at them. The moment the conditions favored Pakistan, as in the Bangalore test and at Jamshedpur ODI, our heroes promptly became zeroes. What comes out very clearly is that our zeroes have no stomach for a fight once the odds are stacked against them. It is comical to see the big names flounder like fish out of water, time and again. One can name at least 10 matches when this has happened and unfailingly, our guys bite the dust.

Isn't it terrible to carry such a reputation? Why couldn't even two of the top seven hang around to even make an attempt at a fight. See how courageously the Pakistan team fought till the end at Vizag.. They may be unpredictable but one thing is sure of the Paks, specially against our Indian team, they will not give up without a fight. At least the supporters do not feel so let down.. India does it too rarely for comfort... Saurav in Dhaka ages ago??

India needs to look beyond Tendulkar and Ganguly
by Manoj on Apr 10, 2005 02:27 PM

India will certainly have to look beyond Tendulkar and Ganguly.

While there is a lot of bashing happening for Ganguly, which is undoubtedly called for and good. And, without debate he will have to be shown the doors. I would like to comment on Tendulkar, being avid follower of Cricket for last 20 years, I would find it difficult to remember that in last 20-30 ODIs, if Tendulkar has made any sensible score. More so, he would never make runs especially when they are needed. We all have to get out of emotions and tell him clearly, that probably , he is becoming a burden on Indian Team. He has to perform or Perish.

I saw how India played the first two games, and I saw the last one (jharkand). Everyone in Kuawait (where i live) knew a night before the match started that Pakistan would win this one hands down. That goes to show, if we living miles away from home knew the match is rigged then how about you guys over there. I am sure every Indian was thinking what we were thinking here. Looking at the lanky perfomance 2day, it is obvious it was fixed.I don't understand why ppl blame Ganguly for his perfomance. Look at his record,he's been the most successful Captain for India, and the fighting spirit, that running for the ball on the field came only with his guidance. Our team is the only team in the world that doesn't have fighting amongst the players, thanks to Ganguly who's an inspiration if not a batsman.

This is a really poorly written article...the format and the style is really 'kindergartenish'. Couldn' get myself to read the entire piece..heading off to timesofindia.com ..

Third one-day

Pathetic display by Indians. Once Sehwag left they are just falling like 9 pins. The same was the situation when sachin was peak in his career. There seem to be no remedy to the kind of mind set the Indians often get themselves into. Even if 100 Sandy Gordon's do a session with them they cannot show progress especially in this area.

It seems that except the Pakistani team.....Team India ( Mgmt, Sponsorors, Players, Avertisers and SUNDRY) thought that if, The match will be WON by India.........people will gradually LOSE intrest in the remaining MATCHES......& hence ...LOSS of more people WATCHING T>V...... so less will be EXPOSURE of .........Advertisements........ and so ........

To keep the INTREST alive & kicking............play and gamble till the last MINUTE............what say BUDDY.,..............

Otherwise, HOW ...the TAIL enders.....play Gilli Dandu with the Bowling and the Established ones even cant cross Double Figures ?????????

Anyway........3 to go ....dekhte hai kya hota hai....

Pakistan , WE are not BELITTLING Ur Efforts.....It is just that, This loss sounds ....very Intresting & Intriguing too........

3rd O.D.I.
by Harjinder Singh on Apr 09, 2005 04:49 PM

Needless to mention,Pak.has onceagain came back in the
series as well as in the game,as itwas predicted by
Inzamam that the boys are having capability todo so.
No doubt the best side has won, itseems that indians
are jumping at heights w/o thinking that the opposition also came here to play.
So called Mr.Blaster Tendulkar and Dada now not looking as they are known for.
These two should take the cor.action for the benefit
of country and Youngsters tobe given the chance.
Even than my best wishes to the loosing team along with warm greeting to Mr.Inzmam and his cooligues.
Thanks
