cricket diplomacy...

If gen Mush wants to talk diplomacy, then there's time enough for that - but why use the ruse of cricket? Let him come and see his team win a match and go home happy.
Then if he feels like it, he can come back and talk peace. Until then, he's just another terrorist like Saddam, gaddafi and Idi Amin.

Do your homework, Mr. Singh

'But all great bowlers and batsmen are arrogant'.

Thus spoke Onkar Singh, interviewing Shaharyar Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board. I wonder what was his intent, besides attempting to drive a wedge between the Pakistani skipper and the country's best speed-merchant! Arrogant? All great bowlers and batsmen? Sunil Gavaskar - arrogant? Sachin Tendulkar - arrogant? Rahul Dravid - arrogant? Or are they not greats?

We expect better stuff on rediff.

Hi,
Everybody (Indians & Pakistanis) are happy about the relationship b'tween 2 countries. But somewhere it will give a chance to think otherwise. (eg. kargil etc.,)

Cricket diplomacy

Well one should not jump to such innocent or rather foolish conclusions that cricket diplomacy has worked. One should never forget that cricket is cricket and Pakistan is Pakistan.

Very positive and forward looking thoughts !
by Dr. Cajetan Coelho on Apr 06, 2005 11:10 AM

We wish our two countries well as we begin to build bridges of goodwill among us. Rediff's Mr. Onkar Singh has asked some very meaningful questions and the answers have been simply superb coming straight from the heart. We enjoy reading such marvellous stuff put before us by the two distinguished citizens of our countries. Thanks.
