Well I have no words to say about Dhoni. He is great enough in Batting as well as keeping. The way he bat is great. And one more thing i would like to share with our Indian Friends, Dhoni's way of batting is good but he is so aggressive and so speed in batting he thinks he should bat faster and to make runs faster.....
What to say of Super Sehwag, Dhana dhan Dhoni & dependable Dravid!! Fabulous show. Warmed the cockles of my heart. India won, but there are some areas of concern as yet. Who knows what would happen if our guys have to chase a mammoth total next??
The lower middle order has not clicked as yet. Ganguly seemed a little more comfy but fell to a great yorker. May be he is slowly inching towards form. Sachin needs to cool down a bit while batting. Surprising to say that of the man with the highest aggregate of runs, but he seems to be in an unnecessary hurry - making up for the extremely slow stuff in the tests?? Whatever, it is, he needs to clear his mind before he falls into a trough.
The bowling though they have done a decent job, needs to tighten up a bit. Some times our bowlers seem to try too hard and lose line & length. They need to learn from McGrath and co. how to stifle the opposition.
Best to luck to Team India for the remaining matches. Let it be a Six - Love score for them.
I watched all the news channels yesterday for the analysis of the match. Many people and even the media said that Dhoni is the second gilchrist, but he is just 5 matches old and by seeing his innings we could make out that he is very edgy with a haywire technique. It was only because the wicket was very flat and anyone could have scored on that wicket if they had a good temparament. Only the time will tell weather Dhoni is anywhere near Gilchrist when he plays against countries like australia on bowler friendly pitches.
that was an amazing performance from a man who is just a novice to international cricket. what must hv got him ticking was his sheer attitude. even in the first match he went for the shot & got out but that ws also for the team's cause, if u want to shoot, shoot, don't waste time. even y'day he hardly wasted any balls that deserved the treatment. just hope that he doesn't land up the same way as yuvraj did in his first tenure, or badani, or a lot of other guys who had & showed promise but fizzled out. hope we have another sehwag in the making. so the opponents will have to have a strategy for all of our team. & that is a tough job. what really was also heartening was the way sehwag enjoyed dhoni's laundry treatment to pakistan's bowlers. he really enjoyed. so did all of us
In yesterday's match Dhoni's knock was superb and Paki's could only dream of winning the match after such a huge score on board .. but they gave the indians some hard .. if they wouldnt have lost wickets at regular interval it could have been a close call.. though having a score more than 300 is always a good score to compete and win .. In end DHONI was the one who took India through this Innings when tendulkar and Ganguly were not of much help.. THE one MR dependable RAHUL is always there.. then is apna VEERU ...GOOD DHONI keep it up .. u are indias ADAM GILCHRIST
whenever rediff.com writes about cricket there is a deliberate and desparate effort to pounce on sourav ganguly with or without reason. valid reasons for criticism are usually scaled up to a disproportionate and startling level, while usual subjective reports and incidents are twisted to cook up a criticism against the current indian captain.i am no great fan of him, but as a regular reader i would like to have mature, insightful and balanced reports- not biased rantings and attacks on a personal level.
