I feel we are very lenient with our 'highly paid and worshiped' cricket team. Consistency should be the key criteria for staying in the team. Ganguly needs to lead from the front WITH HIS BATTING. 'Captaincy pressures' is NOT an excuse..look at Ricky Ponting and Inzamam..and not at captains who are failing. Pay the Indian team 50% of the match fees if they lose. My sense is that will make them more consistent...and pls use Ganguly as a non-playing captain if he fails with his batting again!!
Somehow I treat all such pronouncements with scepticism, unable to convince myself that there isn't an orchestrated game-plan concocted to make the touring side feel at home.
