Ganguly not backed by Team, mates..
by Shiamak on Apr 21, 2005 02:50 AM

What is all this fuss abt. ganguly?? Has he not showed us that he is a far successful captain than any other ones?? Right from the WORLD CUP to the Pakistan series and the Australian series he has showed his capability as a captain.

I feel that he was not supported or backed by his team mates whom he had supported for many times.
He has battled trmendously for the inclusion of many team mates in many matches..

Javagal Srinath, Anil Kumble, Mohd. Kaif, Harbhajan, Yuvraj etc.He fought with the board during the world cup to include many people like Srinath, Harbhajan and etc.. and see the result.. We reached the finals..

C'mon I am sure that all those who are critisicing him now wud have supported him and cheered him during those days and when he faces his rrough patch u can't leave him just like that.Imagine had this happened to Shah rukh khan or Amitabh, wud the same have happened?? He did the same as what they did.
He has infused a lot of team spirit within India whether anybody likes it or not.

MSG FOR GANGULY: Don't get disheartened by what some people write.. many r there for u.. many will support .. U R THE BEST!!!

Dada will rise
by rajab on Apr 06, 2005 11:08 AM

Dada is great. Data is awesome. Data is tremendous. He will come out of this. I dont understand this somehow. Why is that in India alone captains are under so much of scrutiny when cricket is so much of a team game. The entire media demolished Sachin when he was the captain. Now it's Saurav's turn i guess. If the captaincy handed over to Rahul, they will not let him leave him as well. Please grow up guys. There is nothing called permanent failure. So Saurav will come out of this entire mess. Trust in him.

Ganguly will strike back
by shail oza on Apr 03, 2005 08:41 PM

All u people out there making fun of Ganguly and putting him down are gonna have to shut up because one has to realise that Ganguly is a world class batsman and one of the best the world has ever seen. He is a great captain. As a player, he mught be going thru one of the rough patches of his career as most people do, but that doesnt make him useless. he still is a wonderful player and he is gonna strike back soon, and when that happens, it will be a slap on the face of all the people who think that the Indian captain is no good.

DADA WILL BE BACK
by rajasekaran on Apr 01, 2005 09:42 PM

hi to every1,

well as i go thru this article its really intresting to note that younis khan came as a "Phoneix". if he can why cant ganguly? but for sure in recent past he had made some devastating plays that made the opponents feel weak on their knees. as he is coming in a rough patch in his period now i think it is not the time to critisise him badly as every player is forced to face this bad patch. the upcoming one day series will be a boost for him to come back and to regain his original form. lets hope for the best out of our DADA

Come On DADA U CAN !!!!! MAKE US FEEL PROUD OF U!!!

Ganguly
by Prateek Tiwari on Apr 01, 2005 08:49 PM

I have always believed in Ganguly as a player and capatain of the team. It is true that only thing that is constant is change, but I dont believe that Ganguly's time as a batsman is up.

He has delivered when all others have failed and some one with 33 international centuries and 15000 runs can not be useless. Please stop over reacting and support the team( read players) when their morale is low.

One thing that I would advise Ganguly to do is to promote Laxman to no 3 and give the guy his due. Both Ganguly and Laxman are extremely talented players and still have at least another 3 years of quality cricket left in them.

ganguly should step down
by sudhir on Apr 01, 2005 06:28 PM

India would rather prefer to have a performing non lucky captain than a non-performing lucky one.If we see the record of our wins,Ganguly has performed somewhere in atleast 50% matches. We mustunderstand that luck and stars are for the whole country and of the whole team put together and not of an individual, say of captain. If the captain performs, he can get the team together, plans the strategy better, peps up the team on field and be an ispiration for the whole team and he gets the boost to lead from the front. In B'lore test, we can appreciate if Ganguli had stayed on the crease for 30-45 minutes more on any of the innings,we would have saved the match. He gave absolutely a lacklustre performance in whole of the series.I think selectors should take more reaistic view and not put one day series at stake. It's a team work.If one man does not perform especially captain,it reflects on the whole team. We can notafford to field liability and demoralize others. I think if he has any self respect left,he should have gracefully stepped down before he is unceremoniously thrown out. In one day all departments ie. batting, bowling and fielding equally matter but he can perform in none.
