PAWAR-FAILURE ?
by Er Singh SD on Sep 30, 2004 07:51 AM

Sir,
It is disgusting to note that Mr Sharad Pawar was decimated to naught by sports politician Mr Jagmohan Dalmiya.Allthough Pawar is known for his shrewd and timely actions but he always misfired when it mattered the most.In first place he should have avoided to fight any election but lure of money and media attention which cricket offers lured Sharad Pawar to go for BCCI Election.
By going after BCCI Pawar has lowered his own status as he is/was always considred a Potential Prime Ministerial candidates of India. As a matter of fact whenever Pawar needed a boost his mistimed his actions and lost in the fray.Thrice he failed to grab PM's chair, once Congress President and so on but the last one loss of BCCI ultimately sealed his fate for the top most post of India and now onwards whatsoever he may try but his next destination will be lower than his present status.Secondly timing of his BCCI loss is going to dishearten his followers in Maharashtra Elections. The best course of action or option with him is to merge his party with Congress so as to enable himself to be close to throne of PM of India.

BCCI elections.

Not only BCCI, but almost every other sports organization is run undemocratically. There are a number of states in North-East. States like Bihar, Orissa, and Kashmir have rarely contributed to Indian cricket, yet each of these states have as much say as Bengal and Maharashtra have. It is unfortunate, but it is true. People like Dalmia should be made to step away and work only in advisory capacity so that there experience can be made use of, however, giving them unqualified power is not good for cricket in the long run.

This is my reply to Er Singh SD's mail :

Outcome of BCCI election can not change the faith of Maratha Strongman. Everyone
know he had won the election 16-15 had Aagashe been allowed to vote. He is still
a strong contender of PM post and why not? afterall he is the most expereineced
person in Indian politics. How many people in current generation have capability
of controllink Likes of Lalu and Mulayam?
If he is known for his political shrewdness it has to be. because he is a politician.
If an Engineer is doing engineering work we believe him, a contractor is doing
constuction we beleive him then why not if a politician is doing politics?
And onr thin again...One election can not change the faith of an individual .
cant keep him from being PM....Why do we forget even Vajpayee had lost the election?

Pawar Moving court.

I am reminded of Bush-Gore election. It was clear that Gore had every right to apeal against the result but once result was declared he accepted it.To be graceful in defeat is sign of gentleman.
