I think its time Ganguly steps down from his long held postion, and hands it over to the modest, the most dependable cricketer india has ever seen- Mr Dravid. Selectors can easily find a replacement to Ganguly if they watch school boys play cricket with hockey bats.
..I bet if our Indians play this kind of Cricket in future against any teams in the world..particulary against Pakistan..they may kill mercilessly the cricket watchers giving them a heart attack.... also the best thing is promote our team is 1.Tour against new upcoming teams like USA,Kenya.. 2.No fee till they perform with a cut of score(say 50+runs)or contract them for a match..atleast we can encourage the upcoming youngsters. 3.Atlast Punish them severely the team by not taking autographs or no garlands, no welcomes .,if they fail to win against pakistan.
I found that the match that was played between India & Pakistan as a match that was thrown away to pakistan rather than being defeated by them. some of the flaws that was noticed was:- 1. When India were put in to bat and that we were looking to post a huge score, we should have utilised the 15 overs effectively. we require someone to try to murder the bowling rather than employing a cautious approach. If India had put up 300 plus, I am sure that Afridi would have opened the innings for pakistan. Its always better to look at the aeriel route on the V region which we are failing to do after the retirement of Srikkanth and after the transition of Sachin Tendulkar 2. I fail to understand how a bowler of Agarkar's ( a wicket taking & more experienced ) caliber was ignored and chose to bowl a youngster when it mattered the most. Pathan should have finished his spell within the first 30-35 overs.We know that Afridi took away the match from India. Agarhar should be looked witha possibility to open the Indian Batting innings. It should be considered.As far as Laxman goes, he fails to deliver when it matters. Nobody puts the efforts that dravid does to get over a bad patch.all'l be 4goten
Ganguly is clearly the man who will make the Indian team the weakest in the histroy even though it has got great talent.He will play players of his choice for as many times as he wish otherwise Sehwag Yuvraj Laxman should not have been there & all of them together is just a dream come true for Pakistan.

1.Drop Kumble from ODI squad.If he himself is not willing to take retirement from ODI then prob thats the only way to keep him out of ODI's.
2.No matter whether test or One day.Theres only 1 position for Dravid our best Batsman & thats no:3 esp if we r playing abroad.
3.Drop Laxman for ODI's.He has bad knees & he is a very very bad fielder.Plus he has no common sense of how to run in between the wickets.He cant hit in the last 10 overs.Bring S Sreeram in the team.Please let us not get carried away by Dinesh Mongia.We all know how much he has disappointed us in the past.Sreeram deserves a good chance now.
4.Take Dhoni/Karthik as the WK & please no Patel. Ganguly has some liking for Patel & he shud be stopped from taking emotional decisions.
5.Send Dhoni,Kaif,Dinesh Karthik to play 20-20 cricket in England or SA.BCCI shud make sure that this happens.Bcoz if these guys are to bat at no:6-7 then they ought to be good hitters.
6.Dont drop Sehwag but include him in the squad & not in the playing X1.Let him feel what its like to be in the team & not playing.
7.Tell Tendulkar to decide his future.He gets breakdown in every ODI series.Same happened in Asutralia.
There is 1 thing which amazed me.That being when only 2 runs were needed of 7 balls then why didnt the Ganguly brought all 11 men in inside the circle. It was shocking to see men on boundaries even when 1 run was needed.This has happened before in cricket when teams couldnt make 2-3 runs in last over as all the fielders got inside the circle.It has happened to SL once against Pakistan & once against New Zealand both in Sharjah.It has happened to SA too when they cudnt make a single run of 4 balls & lost the match to Australia.This is a serious issue & one has to ask Ganguly where his mind was ?
I have been writing time and again about selecting of team for the icici match. The selection committee has to be changed despite losing matches they have not changed the players and giving more chance for the players who had not showed their class, They should have kept dinesh karthik insted of rohan gavaskar. Especially for playing against pakistan they should have included kumble instead of lakshman or sewag since both of them in not good form. Ultimately, the poor unwanted shot from ganguly ends the teams hope. Sourav has not utilised full quota of pathan's first spell. He was bowling extremly well and if you would have continued another 2 overs the match would have been india's way. THe dirty politics should not come in to the picture for selecting team
i feel that if india loses the forthcoming series against aussie and south africa, ganguly will still be giving the same excuse that the team team has had a 3months break after pak series and has not been able to comeback strongly....ganguly wake up...u have played 3 series since tht break... well the importance of tendulkar in the team is very clear now... atleast in his presence we used to reach the finals.... his mere presence in the field makes a diff.... and ganguly..pls watch the innings inzi played yesterday again in video...thts wht is called a captains knock... merely saying that india is the second best team...doesn't help.... u need it to back it by performance.... god knows when will u learn
