Looking at the way Aussies have performed, I am sure they stand an excellent chance to win the ICC trophy. I think our team will not progress much, because its a media-hyped bunch with no real talent. Our players probably are still savouring the win against minnows (Kenya), and the long break since then would have certainly helped them lose their focus. They would start playing all silly again, not attaching any importance to the level of the patch against Pak. Of oruse, the usual "shopping" and "sightseeing" would follow once they are out of the tournament !!
For the past week English cricket writers have been going on - with some arrogance - about the pointlessness of playing 'minows' like Kenya, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh and US in the competition because the matches are so one-sided. Today they spoke about a 'real match' in the offing.
Well well, what did we have? Another one-sided match, poroving that you don't need to be a US to be thrashed by the Aussies...
I hope commentators are little more humble in the future.
