Is the corrospondent DRUNK!!!
by Tuhin Abhyankar on Sep 13, 2004 08:30 AM

"On a sunny, but cold day at Edgbaston, the Proteas shot out the minnows before the crowd could settle into their seats for a paltry 93 runs in 31.3 overs and then raced home in 17.5 overs to win by nine wickets" - According to this statement, Bangladesh Batted first. Yet, just a few lines down, the corrospondent writes a completely opposite statement that says

"Bangladesh captain Rajin Saleh, aged only 20, won the toss and put South Africa in to bat. The newest Test-playing nation paid a huge price for inexperience, not aware that English conditions, especially late in the season, favour batting second."

What was the corrospondent thinking of, when he typed this report. Such errors, along with the numerous spelling and typo errors have become a common feature in the articles apearing on Rediff.com

The 20 year old Bangladesh captain did NOT "put South Africa in to bat" as stated in this article. Bangladesh opted to bat first!!

as per subject..south africa shud give chance to nel or ngum..coz they both r good pace bowler..so it might b help for s.a. S.A shud not concentrate on tournament but they shud focus on their each match whether its kenya or australia...Give more affort at the end..coz they r now so weak at the end..only worry about gibbs and klusner's form...come on...fight back and show ur ability against all team...good luck...and win champions trophy....
