Back ourselves.
by sasriniv on Sep 09, 2004 07:29 PM

Not sure how could people doubt India?s ability to play quality spin. More specifically after seeing the team announcement from Cricket Aus. If its mentality issue, then people who are talking are also part of it.

Forget everything and back ourselves for a outstanding test series.

Australlian Team
by sasidharan on Sep 09, 2004 04:16 PM

Australlia, by any means a professional team and who is not in or out is no matter for them. They are a complete team and they play for their country. They fight till the last ball is bowled and never were in panic. India on the other hand gave up so many matches from the jaws of victory in the past and still doing the same. Mentality is what it matters and it is the only thing Indian Team lack in any sports event and differentiate from other national teams. Let us hope Indians will do better in the forthcoming series.

Need young blood

Are the Indian selectors watching??"Despite being the leading wicket-taker in the last series with India, MacGill failed to win a place in the 16-man squad that included three specialist spinners. Symonds, who sparkled when Australia won last year's World Cup in South Africa, was also overlooked as four uncapped players were picked." can anyone imagime something like this in India. And we are still searching the Australian formula for success. Evenif something happens, the media will never allow that to occur. the need of the hour is young and fresh blood in the Indian team.

Biju,

to be honest your comment reflects ignorance on ur part.
symonds shone in the Worldcup but aus have declared their squad for test side for which symonds has not proven his worth & is deservedly left out.

Mc Gill is left out because Warne is back. frankly McGill wouldn't have played the series last time round should warne be allowed to play it ( he was out for a years ban !! )

Indians also drop chopra from ODI side & bring him in the tests as he is a specialist. so stop complaining..
