What is the use of these good for nothing awards to these cricketer when they can't win games for the country? To get juicy advertising contracts and make hell lot of money?
If there are any awards that are presented based on the perfomrance that really helped the country taht they are playing win the matches, I am sure that our players will be in the rock bottom of the list.
WAKE UP MEDIA. Please do not publish this kind of hype about the players. This is the high time that we realize that there are other sports too and our cricket team is nothing but a normal team that can even go down to Blangladesh.

I bag your parden on the "... our players come rock bottom...". This is not the statment to be made by any person who knows cricket. Look at just last innings of Ganguly or Kaif. Look at Yuvraj when fielding or batting, look at Dravid's 'Calm Aggration'. No one can doubt that they are playing for records. And how can I forget Sachin. There is nothing to doubt about him. It happens with the teams many time when their major players are out of form. And this is cricket. Many team win just because of 2-3 playes. You substract Flintoff and Gough from England, substract Lara from WI,... team look like they are 50% less powerful without them. Evenif with this players team looses match. That doesnot mean that one should blame that they are not dedicated or what awards should mean to them on their "FAILURE OCCATIONS". In cricket "Team" should be first, but without this 'Stars' or 'Chapmions'; "Team" become weak and with them more aggrasive and powerful. So they should get awards, their 'Experties' in the game should be Honoured. There is no point to make they fail 3 times or 7 times continuesly, and they are not deserving awards. Experts must be honoured to distingush them from others.
