we can rate te indian performance as abysmal. i dont know why still after loosing so many matches sourav is still being retained in the team. take australian team, steve waugh (i guess who is faaaaaar better performar to sourav) has been dropped from team since he was not able to lead his team for just 1 final.
SO so called 11 stalwarts, try to get some viral infection and come back ASAP, just keep in mind when ever u loose any match, it is been said that India has lost not ganguly or sachin. Final verdict: please dont go for champions trophy, do more adds, pile up ur money inventory.
This current team with Saurav at the top is in a complacency loop. It resembles our old BCCI structure where Dalmia would select his members and the members would vote him as the president.....every year.
I was fortunate to watch the first one dayer in Trent Bridge and like any Indian fan to catch a glimpse of our cricketers as they cooled down after the match. Guys, I tell you , I couldnt see an iota of dissapointment of any of the team members face except for Sachin and John Wright who kept away from the hooting and fun and hearty laughs which was the norm in the dressing room. The others looked like a bunch of college kids out on a trip. I realised, these cricketers are just like a group of drama performers and they dont feel the sense of playing for the country as much as some of us spectators do.
indian bowling had been toyeed by the opponent batsmen .....ironically those who easily scored against indians are not as calassic and technically perfect.......
After all its a game. Enjoy it. Only one team can win. Think about 1970's and 80's india is no match even for Zimbabwe or East Africa. Till recently England is a looser in every tournament. Even West Indies is struggling to find its rythm inspite of pool of talented lot. Today's cricket is for the advertising and for the commentators.
Its funny, after all cricket is all about fools as said by bernaurd shaw. BBC and CNN never telecast it live. Cricket is for the media, by the media and within the media. As is Sr. Gavaskar so is Jr. Its all part of the game. What Ganguly, Dravid combine can do will be undone by ICC, BCCI, Media, Cola's,. How long you can change the captain, a poor guy at the mercy of commentators. How a person with 100 crores behind him can win games except making way for others like Rohans. Schools, Colleges, Offices and Establishments what not cricket is ahead of every thing still it is " nationality" when it comes to match between India and Pakistan. No war, No Proxy everything will be set aside for this game which is spoiling everything.
Not long long ago when everything was all rosy there was a guy who was to be the king.This prince in all his grandeur proclaimed that he would go where no mortal has gone.He in his infinite wisdom said" all you bowlers beware".Here i come in all my splendour to crack the 200 run barrier.But alas how the mighty have fallen the 200 run barrier seems like a mirage slipping away and the prince finds himself unperched from his princely perch.Will this end with a happy ending watch out this place.
Team india is not getting younger.The main players or the stars are on the wrong side of 30 and the young colts do not have it in them to spark of a revival.The bench strength is non existent,rohan gavasker does not deseve a place on merit.In fact india needs to find replacements soon if it wants to be a force in the cricket world.As i see it australia england srilanka and pakistan are the best around.India unfortunately is among the also rans

Rohan Gavaskar - its a "miracle" (or is it) how on earth are u in the 11 huh! And where was papa Gavaskar when "beta" played all over himself and proved once again he is not even fit for "Nukkad" cricket. Papa Gavaskar - any comments!
Laxman - great wristy strokes if the ball is pitched on the stumps (after finishing with cricket he can become a fisherman given his fantastic outside the off-stump angling habits).
Ganguly - What can we say about him except - "DALMIYA Meherban Tho DADA Pehelwan.
Dinesh Karthik - I can only pray for u - in the meantime enjoy sitting in the dressing room or sightseeing in Europe. You see DADA will persist with our Mr. un(dependable) aka the (porous) WALL.
Unless we become like Australia when it comes to selection (U have to perform consistently else you are out) we can only talk and dream of becoming WORLD CHAMPIONS.
One word for all those (Indian) commentators - STOP PRAISING TOO MUCH OR CRITICIZING TOO MUCH!
We all are talking about cricket in india is far away from politics. but things have changed in recent fall down of the team. and the reason for this is politics within and politics outside. and the politicians are not the ministers of territory, but the live ware hero Sunil Gavaskar,his guy is playing since many matches for India and most respective thing is he is playing as a norounder.Got some 20 runs in average area. and the bowler what he is worth, God knows and you all. India is playing with seven batsmen and all are falling side by side. but in recent game against England, Ganguly made changes by bringing new bowlers. but the fault is not in bowling,but the batting collapsing. now taking all these things, we can ask a question to Ganguly and Management!
Question-Why Dinesh Karthik is not playing? Answer might be he's not from Mumbai. might be he is not Gavaskar's son.
It's not about Karthik and some players like him seating and awaiting for a place in the currently collapsed Indian team, it's about why a man is playing like Rohan who has nothing to prove. and we all know if he would have given 100 times to score unbeaten, then also the talent is not there.
