Pay half the money to other field of sports, At least we can hope to see a gold medal instead of wasting man hours/money & burning effigy's.
i absolutely agree with readers like raghu & vins : what the hell was srinath doing during his playing years ? as raghu says, even after 15 years of international cricket he couldnt bowl at the death ! and within months of his retirement , all of a sudden he has these super strategic ideas !!
Mr Srinath..first of all please apologise for your performance in the world cup finals when ricky ponting beat the hell out of you. As a front line bowler what happened to you then? We have faced such a crisis situation before during the start of the world cup and who better than sachin could turn around things for us? I guess return of sachin tendulkar will bring about the required changes. But truly mystifying fact as Mr Boycott pointed out...indians are supposed to play spinners very well and it is appalling to see that in the last few matches players like afridi, dilshan and chandana have come out on top. Cmon guys how difficult is it to use ur feet and tap it to mid on mid off instead of trying the extravagant sweep shot when there is a fielder at 45. Cmon India dikha do!!! Simple solution: use ur brain and feet:)
Rewind to World Cup Final 2003. Indian attack was led by a certain Javagal Srinath, which gave away 359 runs. I cannot remember a murmur of apology from Srinath. Instead Sri was upset when someone as esteemed as Sunny had a few harsh words to say.

The first thing Indian selectors to do is to throw Sewag out of the team. He is is proving useless in the opending spot. Give chances to the newcomers insted of repeating the old band of players.
I totally agree with srinaths comments ... patience is the word we totally lack and the biggest blow to the team is agressiveness. Is it like India is totally dependent on Tendulkar alone... come on give me break. If so let cricket be an individual event for us rather a team event. I stopped watching cricket for the last two years because of the reason we lack consistency. Look past when srilankans were being trashed by every team and then they came with a bang with winning a world cup and now trashing SA to a clean sweep.
Does it matter? Bottom line is after dismal performance in Olympics, i was told that india is good in cricket.Can we say india will get bronze ? I doubt. Going by rediff ranking , India is not even in top 3 spot. One billion people we are not good in one sport. Thats reality.
All talk about person being bias etc etc does not matter. Hayden said it, in our country after few good performance cricketer are more Model's than sportsman, everyone plays for themself and they are not apolegetic about it. Few mad fans would fight to justify that behaviour too.....!!!!
