One wonders how Ganguly continues to be part of Indian team with his pathetic performance this year. His performance this year so far is 82,32*,18,33,1,1,1,6,3,45,15,39,21,45,56(102 balls vs UAE),6,60(100 balls vs Bangladesh),39,79(120 balls),4,25,24,7 with a meager average of 29.18 and if you look at the strike rate I guess it will be even worse. If you take out his performances against the minnows UAE and Bangladesh it is even worse (26.3). One thing I (and billion other cricket crazy fans) do not understand is that how Ganguly is being selected for the team let alone captaining the team. What is the criteria for selection? How big is a players product endorsement contacts? Based on his performance a 100 years ago? How big a demigod he is?
If an employee is not performing well, then his employer tries to get rid of him immediately and when a player is representing one billion people why this discrepancy?
The current Indian players perform once in a while to secure their seat in the team for the next 10 seasons and bagging lucrative contracts. Nobody is putting country ahead of their self interest. GOD SAVE THIS COUNTRY.

Why India is not winning, because players are really fed up with worthless Ganguly and Sachin and want Dravid to become captain, these same players will perform, winning series when the wrong is corrected. Till it isn't players will keep on performing badly. it is not planned but their subconscious is making them protest by playing badly because they can't actually say what they feel about Ganguly and Sachin. They hate Ganguly making Dravid wicket keep they know it is done to hurt Dravid, maybe he will hurt himself but in actuality it is Ganguly and Sachin who get injured because they are not fit players. And they hate blind Sachin worshiping when they know the person who has been actually winning them matches and helping batsman and ballers perform well is Dravid and all other players forming partnership with Dravid. Yes even Sehwag thinks so, the person who loves the way Sachin bats. Ask him who is the most special player in the team honestly he will say Dravid. Dravid should have been made captain after Pakistan series. Till he becomes captain we will not work as team.

You r only partly right in the way saying the team members are fed up with ganguly since he has been so rude with all the players irrespective of the player's calibre but they had not fed up with sachin for that matter because he has been in support of his players not only during his captaincy time but also even now. One more thing you should notice that sachin has not been worshipped just for name sake. He has been unlucky on several occasions in the way that whenever he performs well the failed to support his innings though he is now in a better team than he had been in the past. For example, the asia cup finals performance. Sachin took a catch, took 2 wickets, had not given mor than 35 runs in his quota, scored 74 off 100 balls which is 35% of the total needed to win. On the other hand the other 6 world class batsmen collectively scored 49 runs off 150 balls. With this kind of support from other players how can you expect sachin to win the match. Another 50 more runs collectively from those 6 batsmen would have won the match for India & Man of the Match & Series award for sachin. Then the same knock from sachin would be described as great performance.
Is Rohan in the team ONLY because of his father?? I don't seem to remember him making any waves in domestic cricket so far. In fact if I remember correctly, he couldn't even manage a place in the Bombay or Maharashtra team and had to move to Bengal.
Is this right?? How does this double standard sit with his his father who has always has been critical of selectors choices made on the grounds of anything other than merit & performance.
Its time Ganguly brought in Karthik to keep the wickets and relieve Dravid of his unwanted burden. Ganguly seems to be stuck in the groove, with his current thinking, like a bad record.
Sehwag needs to be told that his 300 is a dim memory now and he better pull up his socks.
With Karthik capable of good batting, Kaif would come up the order. It should be:
Sehwag and Yuvi should be given more bowling. Most of the engligh guys cannot play spin well. The medium pace stuff is bread and butter.
Kumble, in my books, is not a spinner. With his inability to tweak the ball, on the pace/swing friendly pitches he will be thrashed like a slow medium bowler, like we saw Freddy Flintoff taking him to the cleaners. That was a superb innings by Freddy, by the way. He has given the Indian team a lot to think about how to contain / counter him.
As a True Indian, I feel that this Indian team needs a Vaccine now. All the things were going good & the national selectors overlooked at the new talent since the past 1 1/2 to 2 years. India as a team under Sourav have done tremendously well. The future seems threating for INDIAN TEAM. What should Indian thinkcap do now ? * Remove Ganguly from 11( he does not BAT & his mediocore bowling is not required at International level) * Sachin's last shot has started & i would promote him to the Opening Slot which we all like to watch !! * Sehwag has failed, but i would give him 10 more chances to prove him form or his services are not required. * ZAHEER KHAN must play county for 6 months and get back in form & fitness. * Nurture the new kid for his left-arm bowling........he is a fast learner of the game * Dravid is the best & by keeping in ODI's he is doing a big favor. * KUMBLE - overuse him on a dug-out pitch against anyteam & say good-bye * Sarandeep Singh & Harbhajan Singh must be in the team. * Laxman must play county to get back to form. * Yuvraj Singh be explained the importance of not losing the game for India ( we will never get a Jadeja again) *GAVASKAR??
