Dismal Performance By Top Indian Batsmen.
by Partha Pratim Dutta on Nov 01, 2004 10:51 AM

Hi,

It is high time that few Top Indian Batsmen should be kicked out of the Indian Cricket squad forever, among them No. 1 is Ganguly. Sachin should be rested for few International matches and should play some domestic matches. There should be some strictness in the team. There should be match fee cut by 70%-80% if they loose a match. The players should be banned for doing any commercials, as they then stop concentrating in the game. But, I think nothing is going to happen, it is going to be same as usual as our cricket board is itself fighting amongst themselves, then who is going to take care of the team.

The entire team on god's mercy. Because it is god only who can help them.

u know what - cricket has become more of a money making scheme rather than a gentleman's sport.

i agree to what is said here - press should stop pampering players.

with all due respect to the players and their capabilities - fact remains that all Indian players have been consistently inconsistent.

Take a break, guys. Forget intl matches for a few years and go back to the practice nets. Arm urself with the right skills, and then go and create a hungama in intl. cricket.

One last thing - leave dirty politics out of this, please!!!!

Media should apologise
by Dr T S Raman on Nov 01, 2004 10:00 AM

Two points arise:

The news media ought to apologise to Ganguly for floating all kinds of malicious speculations and rumours that he malingered to keep out of the Nagpur test.

Ganguly seems to be the latest victim of Leipus's incompetence. The list is long, and some other names come to mind: Balaji, Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan, Nehra, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh. Why does the the BCCI persist with retaining Leipus? Perhaps BCCI has also become defunct because of the recent political happenings.

Ganguly - trickiest Indian captain India ever seen
by V S Giri on Nov 01, 2004 09:31 AM

Ganguly is a tricky guy. He is sure that Indian is going to lose Mumbai Test also. Now he was/is out of Nagpur/Mumbai Tests nobody can blame him. Had he played both the matches and lose he know that he will be axed. Ganguly has all qualities to become a polician. BCCI should realise this axe him immediately.

Elusive Ganguly

There is no surprise over Ganguly's announcment. If it was bad pitch in Nagpur, it probably is comparatively new caps in Mulund.
