I feel that India bad days have started in cricket & It will go the Hockeys way. Previously our Indian team used to lose mainly in the overseas location & all the hue & cry goes after a victory from the Indian soil on a friendly tailor made spin track to suit our over rated cricket team. But gone are the days where the other teams found it very difficult in batting in the indian turner tracks & now they learnt to play in the Indian spinner tracks too. Our cricketers are not at all focussed on the game but still they receive the star image on the media by ratings, advertisement etc. & one more important thing our BCCI which is one of the richest boards in the world is not at all interested in the improvement of the game but more interested in fighting for telecast rights, court cases etc. & they should be made accountable in addition to the players.
The Aussies showed how clinical they can be in executing their plan right from the moment they arrived in India this time. There is an absolute contrast between the two teams in every department of the game. On the whole the Aussies deserve every bit of their success for their commitment and positive approach. It is not that we have to put down our country, but it is high time our senior players realise their mistakes, "learn" from it and salvage the pride of the country.
With enough money to buy up the media I do not think it will be a problem for the present set up to continue in India cricket. Alll Ganguly and his boys are interested in is money from ads. A player as great as Sachin should have not been in the team espacially when he was not fit. Ganguly has never been a good captain except for the media promoting him.
Sachin, Dravid, and all the top order batsman should learn from Our bowlers "How to bat and keep wicket" It is shame on us to watch cricket when India Plays. Team members should ask sorry to the cricket fans
I just witnessed the final frontier fall. At the time of writing I am in Melbourne, Australia.
I firmy believe that On-field cricket is 70% off-field politcs and off-field politics is 70% on-field cricket.
India(read BCCI) seems to have lost the former even before a ball was bowled.
It might well turn out to be that a off-field understanding with ACB for sporting pitches in India was suicidal. This explains why India was comforted with Batting wickets when they toured Australia. But BCCI seems to have lost a clue that Spin-friendly wickets werent made there either! Why was a seamer friendly wicket given that all Australian bowlers are seamers made in India?
Its time to understand that Neutral doesnt mean supporting the oppositon?
We make hype about the the so called "big" players but when comes to the field they fall like a pack of cards, but Y all this hype about the big players? we shoud try a new team for the last test ( any way we have got noting to lose), giving the wated "rest" to the "big" players. will the Board do it?
