Preparation was done not only for the players but also of the umpires probably to favour Aussies.

Reason why Australia truimphed again.
by Atul Vaishnav on Oct 30, 2004 06:21 PM

When one reads Gili's comment on how they achieved the goal of series victory in India, one should understand and proud of what they have achieved. Truly, Dravid narrated in short that we have to learn from Australia how to plan for the Test Series in advance. The same comes from preparing for the same and not from appearing in Glam shows and advertisements to make money. One should look at the committments of the Australian side where the perfomance counts more than the region when it comes to selection. The talent lying the players have to be groomed by practise. Also, we should get rid of the pitches that we came across in Banglore and Chennai. The kind of pitches we should prepare from the domestic level itself are the ones like Nagpur as except mostly in India & Sri Lanka at somewhat level. Because we have to visit other countries to play cricket and that's where we should win and prove ourselves on consistent level. No doubt we have the best line up when it comes to batting but all of them are not going to click at the same time all through out and on consistently except Dravid and Tendulkar. Also, there is no shame in excepting the truth that Austrial has always been best.

Great Job Oz's
by Aditya on Oct 30, 2004 03:17 PM

My heartliest congradulations to the Oz team for their fine performance and I am really happy that the best team has won and the worst team (may be in the world) has lost. Indians deserve this after playing such a BRILLIENT game. They never learn from mistakes. They never do their homework. Really a shameful thing for the country. IMO most of the indian team should be sacked.

Once again congrats Oz's. Kepp it up.

Hiiiii

Nice Article Deepti. Its nice to read an article which doesn't pour their anguish on any teams. Its really hectic to read some articles which is filled up with more disgust and unwanted ridiculous words.

But there is one correction. In the beginning as u said - "Huddle made famous by the Indian team". Thats wrong! The huddling of players was made famous by the Aussies right from the day they won the world cup in England. We actually copied it from the aussies. Its nice. But the same way, it would be better if we learn from the aussie talents. As Dravid said that we have to learn from the Aussies.

HEART BROKEN!!!!!!!!!!
by anoop warrier on Oct 30, 2004 01:41 AM

i couldnt believe what i just saw
the indian team dont know what they have just done?
they are takin it lightly
they have broken the belief of the millions of
indian fans
they have broken the tradition of not loosin to aus in ind
built by past ind greats like sunny, kapil, azhar and all...
i didnt mind when they lost to aus in world cup final nor would bother
if pak beat ind in ind..
but these arrogant aussies should have taught a lesson
time and again.
to some extent god was not with india
they would have won in chennai.
i had the belief in them
no where in hell it would rain in chennai
at this time of the year
they dont get proper rain even in monsoon
and why didnt it rain today?
last time aus beat ind in ind(1969)my father was of my age
he warned me of the same thing repeatin again
i didnt take it seriously but it did happen
he had gone to see the Bombay test(1969)
i do think of going to see it and cheer for ind for the last time
by loosin to aus in india they have lost an avid indian cricket follower
in me who followed them for the last 10 yers continuosly.
it feels shame to say an indian supporter, heart broken comptly
please convey the message to indian team if poss

shut up
by Subhashis on Oct 30, 2004 01:23 AM

gilchrist, no need to rejoice.it was indian internal problems, not your brilliance, that ledt India down.just a little bit of luck, one day earlier rain in bangalore, and one day late rain in chennai would have reversed the story.Just shut your mouth up,you are not that good a side now -a-days.and whats the big deal about final frontier, we have also won test matches on all countries.
