What did Dravid mean ?
by satya on Oct 30, 2004 05:32 PM

Can anyone please explain to me what did Mr. Rahul Dravid mean by saying "we had the right attitude but...." ? Does he understand what he is mumbling ? What is the "right attitude" he is talking about ? Where was the right attitude ? We neither had the right attitude nor had the guts to put up a fight. I can understand that in a sport you can have victories and defeats, but the defeat should be a graceful one.
Everyone has seen that Tendulkar's inclusion made no damn difference. Oh come on, don't tell me Tendulkar was fresh from a lay-off. What big did he do before the lay-off ? He is no longer the celebrated batsman of yesteryears. To campare him with Lara or Bradman would amount to insulting those poor mortals. And we talk about right attitude !

All the members of our team including the coach deserve a painful spank for the national shame they have brought for us. "Disgusting" is only a polite way of saying how one feels about these bunch of jokers.

Plans???
by Aditya on Oct 30, 2004 03:31 PM

This is very surprising that Indian team was playing with a plan! I was trying to imagine what there plans were but I seriously never thought in these last four days that they even thought of any game plan.

A ver bad excuse from our JAMAI RAJA.

Have plans first
by Vineesh Vedsen on Oct 30, 2004 02:16 PM

To execute plans, you must have plans in place first thing.

Ask Dravid to do anything, batting in extreme crisis, wicket-keeping in ODIs, he would do it with aplomb. Make him the captain and he would fail at the very first hurdle. We simply lose him as a batsman, which is more than worth its weight in gold.

His leadership skills are very limited and resorts to only popular measure like asking Sachin to bowl. Does'nt seem to share a very good rapport with the whole team, resultantly the performance of the entire team begins to slip.

Plans
by mohan on Oct 30, 2004 11:52 AM

Dear All,

Apparently, there seems to be no plan . If Aussies had planned better, what prevented Indians from making their own plans to counter. Basically the team was not the best we could have played. The wait for Laxman to deliver is eternal. Talent is different from performance. You have to decide whether you want talented ones or performing ones. It was a classic case that of P.Patel that Ganguly was protecting him for reasons known to him only by not using Dinesh karthick during one-day series fearing that he may perform ! God only knows how Agarkar gets into the side .
Let us congratulate Aussies for their plans, for the execution for playing wonderful cricket. They deserve to be Best in every respect.
Thanks
