Poor display by Indian cricketers
by Thiagu on Oct 29, 2004 05:44 AM

It is an utter shame that Indians are humiliated in their own soil. The so called World no 2 players were falling like cards.what happened to them?their places are simply granted.I wonder on what merit still Laxman and chopra are sticking to indian 11.too many chances were given.Ganguly at the right time have withdrawn fully knowing that the famous indian batting is only on book when it comes to fighting its just a wasteful bunch.

Yah Australians are God
by Ved on Oct 29, 2004 05:42 AM

Yah, I agree with you Ashish, that Australians are Gods. Therefore they shall not be given out LBWs and bat and pad catches, whereas black Indians shall be given out as and when Gods appeal. Further slaves shall be asking Gods, about their opinions negatives of any thing which is Indian, on National Television keeping Gods happy. We shall keep on writing about the greatness of Gods and put down these black Indians till the ink run out. Yes I am all the way with you Ashish we shall not talk bad about our Gods.

sack laxman!
by prashant on Oct 28, 2004 11:52 PM

just drop vvs laxman and see the fortunes of this team change. man is he a dumb cricketer! aussie must be paying some bribes to bcci to keep him in the team!

and by the way what was all the hullaboo about sachin tendulkar? barring those two innings at sharjah when has he played when it mattered? hasnt he failed in every final, every match of importance? even in australia he made a double hundred when it didnt matter.

lets face it india needs kapil dev and an attitude like his.

India's performance-on the field & off it
by Dr. Bennet Anchan on Oct 28, 2004 08:38 PM

Quite apart from the fact that India looks to be losing this test,I wonder what Ravi Shashtri has to say now about his well-publicised support for Agarkar:"He's a talented all-rounder,& has had success against the Aussies"-I wonder whether he's referring to Agarkar's bowling flash-in-the-pan effort in Adelaide,or his batting "success" which brought him infamy as the Bombay Duck!Ajit has been around for long enough to know consistency is the hallmark of greatness,& maybe it's time for him to make way for someone less talented but more committed & consistent, not to mention less injury-prone.And as for Parthiv Patel,I really do believe he'd be better off with Manchester United!Imagine a match at Old Trafford with Indian goalkeepers-Patel for ManU & Deep Dasgupta for Arsenal!!He's proved can't catch a cricket ball, let's see if he fares better with a football-after all,he's played about 20 tests now,& that ought to have been enough to have ironed out any faults in technique.Jesting aside,I do believe India would be well served if they could look upon Patel as a 3rd opener & have some other keeper keep wickets for the side-that WOULD be killing two birds with one stone, what say you guys?

Pratim
Dravid does not deserve to be the captain
by Pratim on Oct 28, 2004 08:13 PM

His captaincy has been far from inspiring. His batting takes a pounding whenever he captains. Hope he regains his touch alongwith Laxman who has been in the WORST FORM of his life. Laxman, dravid and tendulkar can only help to save the match now but to expect them to bat for nearly 2 days against this bowling attack would be expecting too much. Hope Ganguly's groin pain goes away and he comes back so that we can atleast win 1 test match in this series. I really feel bad for him and the rest of the team as we could have easily squared the series there. Now we have to see these pale faced aussies rejoicing once they take an unbeatable lead of 2-0. Only a miracle or heavy downpour can save us now.

Umpiring Errors
by srivatsan on Oct 28, 2004 06:52 PM

Why is that always umpiring errors against India are projected high, when the opposition also faced same kind of umpiring for most part of the test match?.

aussies take firm grip/article by Ashish magotra.
by Padmanabhan on Oct 28, 2004 06:42 PM

It has been stated that India missed Pathan& Har- bajan badly. If they were in who would have been out?
Kartik & Zaheer or Kartik+ Chopra or Chopra + Kaif?
In the Mumbai test we should go with 5 Bowlers (Zaheer+Pathan,& Harbajan+Kumble+Kartik)5 batsmen Sewag+Dravid+ sachin+Ganguly+Kaif+ a new Wkt Keeper. It is Bowlers who will win Matches for us
