it happens only in India that we make fast pitches that suits our opposition. Can we ever imagine Australians,South Africans,New Zealand preparing spining tracks before an Indian tour?Shame to the people of Vidharbha Cricket Association. It is only because of such idiots that we cannot become World beaters like Australia.
I find it strange for Dungarpur to praise the Nagpur wicket. Every home country has a right to prepare a wicket that suits its players and we should have prepared a spinner friendly pitch without any doubt. And I cannot understand what is his problem if captains voice their opinion about the wicket. Dungarpur has played only first class cricket for Rajasthan and that to in 1960s. He is totally out of touch with current scenarios. It it better he does not voice any opinions and it will be better if Rediff do not print it.
I would like ALL the Past Presidents of the BCCI and the State Associations to 'stand up' and be counted. Let each one of them state what is their belief. Is the TEAM playing at Nagpur representing India OR BCCI? If they too believe it is the NATION these boys are representing let each one of them call for a Press meet and state so. Many of the TV channels are eagerly waiting for some 'Pop Corn' to Munch.
he will definitely say so as he belongs to those Indian slave minded native catagory people who helped the british rule the nation for 200 yrs. this is a spineless charcter, he lost to Dalmiya and taking revenge against India, by making a Australian wicket. it's no suprise Australians likes to be in mumbai as they can go to CCI, dungarpur's abode. Ganguly did exactly the right thing in not playing the match. you can fight opposition from other teams but when your countryman tries to beat you then there is no point in being a joker. for dungarpur and co, winning BCCI election is more important than winning india over australia. where do the questions of quality wickets go when australia makes fastest pitch of the world. and why should we not call spinning track as sporting track? either stop spin bowling from cricket or stop this nautanki of calling anything subcontinental as non sporting. keep politics at least from the national interest. Mumbai will be the same story as it's the home of mr. sharad powar. they want to beat dalmiya, want dravid as captain so beat india. hats of india, and it's public.
Why do u publish the comments of a man who is famous (infamous!) for is volte-face. Given is track record, you never know tomorrow this same Raj Singh might come out with another opinion which might go like ' This is the worst ever pitch I have ever seen since 1955 or so'. Spare us from reading his comments.
