strength

Indian players should work on their mental strength &
plan strategy.Indians should play with positive attitude.Even if the conditions are not in favour of India, they should fight & not loose courage.
India is having quality players but not achieving the success what they should achieve.

Rahul the unsung Hero
by Prasad on Oct 27, 2004 01:51 PM

It so happens that the person who is contributing a lot to Indian cricket will not get the attention of the Media. Sachin who get the most attention even though his contribution is small in the recent past or when required. It is the time that media has give their rewards in the way of writing more about Rahul Dravid Mr. Wall in terms of Dedication and Sincerity for the Game. Well done Mr. Rahul for reaching a record in Catching. You should beat all the records that you can.

Incomplete Statistics
by Shankar. C.N. on Oct 27, 2004 05:28 AM

Dravid took much less number of Test Matches than Gavaskar to equal the record for max. Number of catches, says this writer. It would have been nice had he given the number of Innings the Opposition played against India when Gavaskar accomplished this record. Perhaps in those days Inndia was losing more matches and the Opponents were winning by An Innings and some runs! Lately there are more 'Fast Bowlers' in our Team taking wickets, thus giving more chances for 'slip' Catches.

Australia vs India
by T.P. Viswanathan on Oct 27, 2004 12:26 AM  | Hide replies

Australia could reach this score thanks to the shoddy fielding by some of the Indain players (who nullified some excellent stops by their other colleagues) and aid from the umpire. At least one LBW was very clear, but Dicky Bird thought otherwise.

Parthiv Patel has to be sent back to KG classes of cricket academy. I wonder why he does not learn from mistakes.

Ganguly did the right thing by announcing his withdrawal at the last minute. I feel that will upset the betting gang. Betting reaches feverish heights when final team composition becomes clear well before the match.

Mr. TP.V. too should go to some 'school' to learn some more about Cricket! Dicky Bird "Kahan se Ayah? It is easy to send Parthiv to an Academy. But do not forget in a matter of 15 years or so he could well be the Chief of Selectors in keeping with the tredition.

Hat's Off to a sparkling performance by the "Never Say Die " Aussies, who ended the day in such a commanding position !This is in sharp contrast and contradicts the Oneliner flashed at Lunch time on Day 1 " Indians have 3 Aussies for Lunch " !
