Walking or not walking has no ralation with honesty of the player or the country he belongs to. Let's take a situation: If a player is not given LBW despite he is plump and he and his partner in the non-striker end know it. Should the player in question leave the craese? If not, then under no circumstances the player should leave the crease if not judged out by the umpires in charge of the game.

Messrs. Adams Gilchrist, Jason Gillespie and Michael Kasprowicz did the good thing of walking back to the pavilion when they felt they were out, instead of waiting for the umpire's finger to go up.

It is always nice to be a sportsman, because then the game is played in the best traditions.

All sports should be played with competitive zeal, but with a sense of fair play.
