Ganguly should be removed from captaincy,Yuvraj, shewag,Laxman should be removed from the team
by pravat on Oct 11, 2004 06:30 PM

Hi,
It's really rediculous to keep, Ganguly as Captain.I am saying it, the way he is supporting some of the team member.Best example is YUVRAJ .He should not have told , Yuvraj will open the innings with Shewag in first place. It naturally put hell lot of pressure on Akash Chopra. They could be reason reason Chopra performing so badly these days after loosing self confidence. As for Yuvraj, he is purely incapable. He is pretty substandard player to play test cricket.Even I have doubt on his one day cricket ability. As for sehag, if nothing will said better.??
Is he comparing himself with sachin??He is one the player in Indian cricket who is consistently inconsistent. These players should be out of the indian team.

This time not possible
by Raja on Oct 11, 2004 04:25 PM

Last time it was fluke , this time it is really difficult to turn back.
The team may be having talented players , but they are not match winners

Ganguly's come back hope
by sasivellat on Oct 11, 2004 01:56 PM  | Hide replies

Ganguly has made similar statements before too.
It is quite surprising to see all the top batsmen
have lost their form collectively. There is something
wrong. Why Lakshman is in the team? He has chosen
only to bat. But that also he is a failure. He don't
have the patience. His fielding is a pity to watch.
Running between the wicket is only helping others to get out. India should leave out all who are out of form and bring in younger crickets who have the will to perform. Gangully is a mere watcher in the field.
No word of encouragement to the players at any stage.
He looks a dejected lot and need some break. Dravid should lead India.

what rubbish, have you forgotten so easily the string of successes india has had under captain ganguly? how strange, you seem to have a very short and miserable memory. you are so fickle minded that, india has just played badly in a one off test match { discounting the onedayers } and you are talking about replacing ganguly.

Ganguly can only hope.
by satya on Oct 11, 2004 09:04 AM

After the wonderful performance of Indian team in Bangalore, all Ganguly can do it just hope. Hope does not win matches. Its planning and execution - something we have never learnt. Is it easier to expect Tendulkar to perform a miracle than mend one's own mistakes ? How silly can our team be.

Tendulkar's return will not make a damn change. He has been well studied by Aussies and sorted out. I we don't learn from our experience here, the series will be well over before we even realise.

Sachin's Return
by Sivakumar Nagarajan on Oct 11, 2004 07:04 AM

I do not think Sachin will be able to play for this series at all let alone next match. I had the same injury 3 years ago ( I am not a sports man though). It took me 3 months to recover from the pain and 6 months to use my hand as usual. Even after that I was advised not to use my injured hand as before that there is likelyhood of the pain recurring. So I am a practised left hander now . So the most likely scenario is Sachin will not play this series even if he plays he will not be the fully fit person. I dont think he can play the pullshot anymore with his heavy bat. Not good for the fans.
