Indians no better
by madhu on Nov 30, 2004 05:25 PM

harbhajan should look at his colleagues in the Indian team before he comments abt the proteas. We have seen the abysmal rate of scoring against the Aussies. Dravid was around 10% strike rate most of the time.

Except for Sehwag, all the others including the highly rated Sachin and Laxman are gulity of poking and prodding most of the time.

It really boring and exhasperating cricket.

What crap ?!?

This same Indian team was jumping up and down after drawing in England and Australia. Harbhajan is the biggest bigot in this team. So does he admit he can take wickets ONLY when someone attacks him ?

Harbajan Slams slow scoring
by MIlan Israni on Nov 30, 2004 01:10 PM

In my opinion Harbajan should shut his mouth and bowl (he talks too much).... whether an opposition aims for a win or draw is not his problem his job is to get them out and he hasn't been too succesfull at it and that is why I think he is upset because the Proteans have countered his bowling well and he has not got too many wickets in both tests..... concentrate on the job given to you Bhajji.... let ur bowling do the talking.

Keep your house in order before criticising others!

I wonder who is Harbhajan to slam SA's slow scoring? That is SA's strategy and it's their sole right to play the way they deem to be fit for their team!

If at all, Harbhajan wants to do good for cricket as a whole, he should literally slam Dravid, who has been playing painfully slowly since he got married. I guess, all his energy is spent elsewhere these days! Ofcourse, he is free to do so, but not at the cost of the team's interests! His approach to batting has cost us the Aussies series and will stop us from winning the current series too. I don't think, anyone in the SA team scored 20 of 132 balls in any of the matches! Hmm...think of Dravid as the future captain! His record will look something like this: Captained: 40; Lost: 25; Drawn: 15; Won: Never tried!

Hmm...Harbhajan would do well to keep his mouth shut and just do what he knows best, which should hopefully be taking wickets!

What about Indian batsmen other than Sehwag??
by Madhu on Nov 30, 2004 12:13 PM

I think Bhaji is shooting his mouth too much. The guy should concentrate on his bowling instead.

Indian batsmen other than Sehwag and Gautam in Kanpur, have been equally guilty of slow scoring. Take the ongoing one at Eden Gardens.. once Sehwag exited, even guys like Sachin are tapping the ball around and running a couple of singles every over. Its boring cricket..... I think the pitches in India kill all interest in the game. Except for the 2001 series with Australia, pitches in India have invariably been interest-killers... Our batsmen seem to be more intent on surviving.... Blame is equal on both sides... guys, the cricket is boring except when Sehwag has bat in hand...

Scoring rate?
by Abhay on Nov 30, 2004 12:05 PM

Okay, so everybody agree that SA is playing very slow!!
any comments on this Dravid 64 (200 balls) Sachin 20 (60 balls), when the ball is 50 overs old and not doing anything ...

Leave apart sehwag...the batting approch has been same from both the indians and SA.

SA are better as they dont boost themselves that they playing fast...but on the other hand ..indians are doing that they are playing aggresively...
Can some one justify the batting approch of Dravid and Ganguly in First test match, and again Dravid and SAchin in second test match!!!
any takers???
