At times, toss can be very crucial if the pitch is not able to hold itself for 5 days as the spinners will rule the roost in the second innings. But DADA (Saurav) has been one of our most sussessful captains of all times. He has been a good leader and know eactly how to takle critics. Hats off to him.
But he has also won the maximum number of test matches amongst all other Indian captains.which clearly indicates that he really had to struggle to win the matches.It has not been a cakewalk like some former captains.He is really the best Indian captain your facts reassure that.
Well .. how about the visiting captain always "wins" the toss in a test match. That would do away with doctored pitches tooo .. not only in india but everywhere. Andy
Hello!This is Mastanvali Patan fro Hyderabad.I would like to share with all the cricket loving fans that since TOSS is the crucial event in a game of CRICKET, the choice of Captain's decision should not be subjected to Gamble of TOSS.So I strongly oppose the TOSS decicding on whether a captain can choose to bat or to field first..
I feel cricket should adopt a policy where in a test series, only the first game's start should be decided by the toss.. thereafter each teams should alternately 'win' the toss and chose to bat or field..
it becomes very unfair if the same captain keeps losing the tosses in crunch matches.. a sport should not always start with a gamble..
Only Azhar and Tendulkar won more tosses than they lost ! Their winning, ironically, was confined to tossed only and alas, not too many matches ! Azhar and Tendulkar were very average captains. Winning captains, as far as tosses were concerned !!
