It is nice to see a positive pre-match statement from Ganguly. I only pray that he and his team carry this attitude to the field and play a competitive game. Then the results will be positive.
Lakshman is sadly surviving on past glory. I do not know how long it can go on. G.R. Viswanath was given umpteen number of chances to play a come-back game, but he was consistent in playing irresonsible game. BCCI wanted him to play at least 100 tests, but he lacked that will. I wish Lakshman had not followed on GRV's footsteps. After all, GRV played to his full potential in his active days whereas Lakshman at this young age seems to have lacked the will to perform and improve.
Yuvraj Singh made a funny statement in the Press, lamenting his omission from Test Squad. What has he done in the recent tests to deserve to be a permanent place in test squad! In contrast, Sehwag was quick to realise and stage a brilliant come back.
